Hey guys my car has been giving me a really hard time it won’t start for a few days and randomly itll start but after about 2-5 seconds it’ll die I’ve even tried to rev the gas to keep it alive and it still stalls on me I’ve been having this problem for a few months and haven’t been able to find anyone that could help me would be nice if I could get some opinions to help me get this baby started

 

You say it's a GSL-SE but has a 12A. Is this a US spec car?

Sounds like the fuel issue. Have you checked fuel flow at the carb?

i agree with above. it's probably a fuel issue.

also, prior to a few months ago when it started this bad behavior, how long had it been since your last tune-up?

 

Just for clarification: The GSL-SE trim (only available 1984 & 85 in the US) has a fuel injected 1.3 ltr engine (the 13B). All other trim levels from '79-85 had the standard 1.1 ltr engine (the 12A).
