13B Manual Trans Problem

Hi, I just replaced the transmission in my 88 13b, and when i try to start it just the starter engages, it doesnt spin the flywheel, ive tried taking it off looking at it, i've turned the flywheel with a screwdriver to make sure it wasnt seized. nothing is helping, i changed my clutch a few months before i got the new trans and didnt have any problems, does anyone have any ideas? I would greatly appreciate and input.. thanks in advance!

the bendix (sp?) on the starter may be fried, pull the starter out and apply 12 volts (ground the case, and 12v to the one of the poles on the back) the gear should pop out and spin. if its not popping out it needs a bendix

Look where your tranny bolts to the engine from the top of the car. There should be a thick ground wire going from the tranny bellhousing to the firewall. Do you have that?

Splurge on a Optima, you will NEVER have a problem with it. Heard a guy say they even work when half of the case is melted.
