What to do?......
OK well as many of you know I totaled my red FD. engine trans and 99% of everything is still useable. the frame and body are the only part not re-usable
Vehicle dynoed 465, so its got a few bolt on?s
Insurance is cutting me back roughly 13k after pay them the salvage value to them.
I have a silver one that is in running condition sitting in my garage.
The way i see it i have 3 options
1)-- strip the silver one in my garage, go with a custom color, then transfer the parts form the dead red one, to that one
2)-- buy another roller, and swap the parts from the red one to her
3)-- since the damage was only sustained to suspension component and front skirt (shock tower), the fire wall is intact so I could go with a tube front end (unsure of cost @ this point) and keep her as the race car I was building her up to be.
Part of me is still a little shaky, but I know after I get back in the saddle ill be fine and want more power. Just figured I should see what you guys think. I?m perfectly fine keeping the silver one how it is and if I could afford it going with a full on drag car with what remains of my first fd....
I just cant make a decision b/c if i strip and swap with the silver one ill end up with a whole cars worth of parts (minus the frame) which is a bit stupid, but finding a strait roller shouldn?t be that hard. great part is color doesn?t matter since ill be media blasting the car to bare metal and going full color out from there
let me know what you guys think

Tube chassis front end, Ford 9" in the rear and build a track monster. It's what I'd do. Heck, my FD will end up that way eventually, after I get bored with driving it on the street. I don't really see a need two have two street-driven FD's unless you're into street racing with one of them - your call obviously but tracks are a lot safer.
On the plus side also, you'd be able to sell your interior parts for a healthy sum to help fund the adventure

Umm well I'm definetly building the race car, the question I needed help with was how.
Seems like option # 2 would be easiest, but # 3 seems like it would be more fun. I know a full tube frame would cost more then im prepared to get into, but i have everything besides the frame... to many decisions, not enough time till season opens

id look at options 2 and 3 as far as money and time are concerned and take it from there.
if you happen to be emotionally attached to your car then 3 would be the best bet.

I personally know this guy, he's local to me (Right near BWI Airport). It's a little hike for you but his work is very good. Worth a call for you to at least get some info.
