is it possible to mount the clutch

BACKWARDS!!!!!!!...... i installed a new ACT clutch on my 13b, about 1yr ago. and just now got around to starting the car up, but it seems like the clutch is engaged. there is pressure on the pedal and the fork moves with no problem. but i had the car up on all jacks, started the car up and all the gears where going in WITHOUT pressing the pedal. so is it possible i installed the clutch backwards or can it be something else.

yes, the clutch disc goes in one way. but what the effects of putting it in backwards is, i haven't a clue. i've always put them in right.

I doubt that he did. If installed backwards, there will be a large and noticeable gap between the flywheel and the disk/pressure plate. And I dont believe that the flywheel bolts are long enough to hold it.

Im curious. I will check it later if its possible with the stock bolts.

Found the problem!!!! the clutch disc seems to fit super tight on the transmission shaft, so when i closed the engine and transmission together, it jammed the disc on the shaft. its was almost impossible to take them apart. but after cracking the bellhousing i was able to loosen the plate and remove them.
