Yea, I know. Hence my confusion as to why he gives a rat's *** about MY Rx7's, and how he would know that I would be happy with a Corvette

Still on the parts ordering train. Ordered HPTuners last night, and found a factory R1 wing for sale as well. Working on a wheel deal also. Moving right along....

The wing arrived, and I confirmed it does NOT fit the holes in the rear deck. I don't know what the hell kind of wing was on this thing but it looks like it's fillin' and drillin' time for me.

Took the bike for a little ride today, first time in months. Not bad, except for the traffic - everyone and their entire family tree was out on the road. It's a shame when you can't get out of 3rd gear.

Rolled the car out of the garage and degreased the engine bay a little. Didn't do much scrubbing, but I won't be painting there anyway so I'm not concerned. Looks better than it did before.

Had to drop my rear wing off at the body shop since I forgot to bring it with me yesterday. Got a couple "before" pics since they didn't start on it yet. Looks kinda like it did in my garage still

They tell me I should have it back early next week

Cause I felt like a dumbass for driving to New Jersey to buy a fender that doesn't even match the other one.

I need to buy my headlight conversion kit now. Cheapest headlight cover was $225 and came with the entire assembly (which I don't need). Everyone and their brother in the classified section is looing for a left side cover too. Guess I'm gonna look more like Vin Diesel than I thought with flushmounts.

Looking good, Who'd you go to for paint? I need my white t2 painted soon. I want to re-spray it in a non-mazda white color paint. Mazda has never been able to put a quality paint on a car.

Negative. Adapter plates will allow you to bolt an LS1 anywhere a standard SBC was mounted. Street and Performance has them. Check this out:

Well I have HPTuners for 98 and 01 LS1's so if you use one of those years, the stock computer will run it just fine. And by then we'll have the procedure down like butta.

Stopped by the body shop this afternoon. Almost all the bodywork is done. There was little major work, just a bunch of tiny dings. They also repaired a small tear in the front bumper cover. I ran my hand over the areas where they worked on it, and it's smooth as a baby's butt.

They filled in the marker light hole on the passenger fender so now both fenders match - I got a couple pics of the inside so you can see it, but on the outside you'd never know there was a hole. They also filled in all the old rear wing holes in the decklid. It looks so good I thought about not remounting the R1 wing that I bought. Since I'm paying to have the wing painted too, I'm pretty sure it's going on. I like the look of them. Unlike the FC, which I don't like without a rear wing.

That link = bad ***. Especially cause you can get bodies like that all day for under 500 bucks. That way you can dump all your project budget into the motor and drivetrain.

I'll be happy too as long as you're going to pay for it
