If not, ihateto so it, but i will be leaving the rotary world dueto the fact that i have no clue what is going on and noone can/willing to help. I'd appreciate it if you'dget back to me.

I'mcurrently in college at VT, so it wouldnt be until after May 7 that we would work on it.

The name is Tim, cell 301-904-2107 (prefer text at first as college schedule is a little hay wire)

hey man? how've you been? I haven't been down to the county too much lately, and definitly not with the 7. A thrust berring went a couple of months ago and it is currently at PFS waiting for another motor so as soon as Ray gets the chance to look at it I'll be breaking in another engine. One of my friends on base said that he saw a Red FD on a flat bed on 235 the other day. Hope that wasnt you.

Yea, Somebody told me they saw it on a flatbed yesterday. It wasn't mine. I've been driving mine daily for a year and a half now. I had to replace the TPS about a month ago and it's still not adjusted exactly right, but other than that it's been running great. (knocks on wood).
The black one that was for sale is still around, I saw it at the car wash a couple weeks ago and I've been seeing a silver one on rt. 760 down where I live.

It had less than 20k on it. I was driving home from work and gave it some gas getting onto 235. It wasn't even under full boost. I saw a puff of smoke come out the back and then it started running like ****. I had gotten gas that morning and I hadn't added octane boost yet. I doubt that would have saved it. I think it was carbon buildup because I've been driving it in stop and go traffic for 2 years now. The plugs have carbon deposits on them. The front rotor has about half the compression it should according to my piston compression gauge.

So should I keep throwing engines in it every 3 years or sell it now?!?!

IDK man... Im going on my third engine since ive owned the car now... Personal prefrence I guess but I know I would try to get another motor in there. Even with the price of another motor you'll make more money selling it running than not.

I've still got half a motor! I stopped crying on Kim's shoulder 'cause she just tells me to get a Mustang. She said you ran 13.3 at the track?
I don't know what I'm gonna do. If I put a new one in it will be Spring at the earliest. I'm still debating whether I should fix it or sell it.

Yeah mine is still at PFS. I was supposed to get it back before the race at MIR last weekend but since that ended up not being possible i decided to go ahead and have him build me a R85 single turbo kit. I already had the fuel, drive train, ignition, and intercooler to support it so this is the best time to have it done. That way i wont have to go get it tuned again.

But man i think you should throw another on in there! And definitly don't buy a mustang! lol

haha yeah i everytime we talk cars she makes sure the tell me that for what i paid for the 7 i could have gotten a mustang.

So what happened to the motor? Did I read that you think it's just carbon buildup?

Yeah I ran the 13.3 about 2 weeks ago. The sunday before Import vs. Domestic actually.

13.3 @ 104.15 with a 1.9 60' on stock turbo and original engine with 126k miles! The hours and work is paying off!

Let me be the first to say HOLY ****! That's incredible. Let me know when you take it to the track. I want to see that ****! Have you driven it yet? Are you still running the OMP or mixing it in the tank?

Wow. That's pretty damn quick. You have 126k on a turbo rotary? That is just so wrong. You need to tell me what the secret is! I don't know for sure what happened to mine, but homie ain't buyin no Mustang.
I can't think of too many cars I'd swap the FD for. Maybe an s2k or 350z. Maybe not.

Don't tempt me! I'm not that attached to the rotary, but I think sports cars should be kept as original as possible. I must be doing something wrong if I only got 20k out of the damn thing. I'll probably drop another rotary in, but at this point I definitely feel like the problems outweigh the novelty. If it happens again I'll either sell it or convert it.

If you're missing Southern Maryland, then I'm glad I'm not where you are! LOL.

Well im still breaking it in so I havent felt more than 1-2 PSI of boost but I can't wait. And no OMP 1 oz per gallon of 2 stroke from here on out. Sometime in January I should be able to fully get on it after it's tunned again because that 465 was super "break in motor" rich and my fule pump stopped giving fuel at high rpm's so I'll have to trouble shoot that too.
