Anyone interested in a meet and greet next weekend? I've finally got my parts all back together and everything is running right. I'd be willing to drive up to waldorf if that's a better spot than way down south here.
Suspension issue help needed...
Hi Guys.... I am having a vibration when turning right at highway speeds that feels like metal banging against metal, I pulled the wheel and noticed that the bushings on the tie rods and ball joints were completed compressed, and cracked...
I think I need to replace them and was wondering if there was an shop in SOMD that could do the pressing, or should i just go with replacing the ends, and ball joints. I'm willing to do the work myself as a learning experience, but of course each new task is approached slowly.
Any one know of a local place to get the parts, Mazdatrix has them, but thought they were kind of pricey, and I'd like to complete the work by friday.
Thanks for your help.

Replacing ball joints is a pain in the ***. Any suspension shop can do them for you. I don't know where to direct you to though sorry.
Sorry, I used to live in White Plains, and I check in here from time to time.

I just realized I work with your friend Kim. She sent me a link to your flickr photostream and I recognized your screen name. You've got some great pictures on there. Kim is an awesome person, definately one of my favorites.
Thanks for the compliment. I'm trying to get kim to come take pictures with me because she's into photography as well, but she always uses the excuse that she can't because she uses film and doesn't have her own darkroom. She's definitely a cool person. Can't get her away from her mustangs though
well as of now everything is running correctly. Lights come on and go off, it statrts every time haha (bad water tep sensor), and i just had it tunned to 330 whp with the HKS twin power that i just installed. Hows everyone elses 7 doing?
Mine is running great. I actually got to MiR on sunday for their last open track day of the season and was able to pull out a 14.2 at 100.97. That's a big difference from the 15.3 I ran last time. I know I could have been in the 13's if my clutch wasn't slipping. All the work is certainly paying off though.
Well cangrats on yours! A 14.2 is a big jump from 15.3
I lied.... or was mistaken.... it got trailered to PFS last night after it kind of broke down.... not sure if the motor went again or some type of fuel issue happened. I dont have any more time to work on it though but it's probably in better hands than mine with ray.
I own an RX-7

Son of a bitch! I hope it's not popped again.
I'm driving mine daily until I see a snowflake. It's got a small oil leak which it's had for a while. Looks like too much work to fix it. The reman I put in just hit 10k miles.
It runs great...so far. I could use new pillow ball bushings...maybe this Spring.
