Holy **** Ernie! Just give it time, the 9 second slip will come to you. I would not be surprised if you ran a high 8. Does the car have the potential to do 8's?

Anyhow, I will be coming out to Southern MD from the 13th of June, until the 21st. Better get some beer's ready. And of course have a HOOTERS meet.

Yep... oh well i knew the risks of this car and im more than happy to deal with them...

The rebuild will consist of 3mm atkins seals, a mild street port, block off plates all the way arouund, (finaly) ported wastegates, and anything else that comes up.... And in light of this event I'll probably eat the 200 bucks and build a water/meth injection kit too....

any pointers anyone????

My advice is not to get to bogged down with odd and end bullshit. Believe me when I say it is easy to get your list so long it takes a long time to get it all complete. I'd keep it simple.

Did'nt you always say you would rather have a stock FD again Dave with just basic bolt on's?

I still have not driven or rode in a FD with just bolt on's. Unless I rode in Rikki's FD years ago before he sold it?

Sure as a second Rx7. I would not take a stock fd over mine.

really? had no idea about that

thanks for the info.... that'll save me some money in rebuild cost.... I think i still want to have a mild port job done......nothing crazy just something above a stock port.

how do you guys have your water pulley set up witht the removal of your air pump? did you end up getting a pully kit for the crankpully or some sort of tensioner or did you just get a smaller belt?

I would not do the same thing either. You have put too much time into that car. And dollars too.

Most people get the Greddy water pump and alternator pulley kit. It comes with the belt.

How many miles were on the engine Josh? That sucks man! Let me know if you need help. I'm free this coming weekend.
I guess your first decision is whether you're going to pull the engine with the tranny on or off.

Josh you could just buy the belt. Summitracing.com has most sizes. Just use a seamstress measuring tape to get the size and look it up online.

sorry forgot to answer....

I believe the motor had about 50 thousand but it was built about 8 years ago...

After spaeking with ray we believe that my injectors are the problem soim going to have the 550's flow tested and cleaned and replace the 850's with 1600's

Yea, I saw your post in the 3rd gen. section. They're misled by your sig and think you only have 277hp. In fact you have Zero!
Yes the engine comes out with the turbos on. PM me your cell # and I'll give you a call this weekend to see if you need any help getting it out.
