Brian, I'll help you get that DP out if you need.
Or, I have a MIG at my house right now that I was using to weld up my buggy chassis with. If you just want to slap the two bolts you took out back in and drive it over I could drill a hole and weld that bung onto the DP for you pretty easily in the car. I have a side job early on Saturday morning but any time after that I am free.
The cost is 1 six pack of Heineken.

and my trip back to PFSupercars today.
Good news, Mr. Wilson corrected my idle and swapped the primaries for me. The car runs well and made 424 hp @ 15psi on pump gas.
Bad news, Compression test reveiled low compression on the rear rotor on all three faces. Mr Raymond is under the impression that it is likely a nick on the tip of the side seals from crossing the port or warped apex seals from retarded timing before the ignition issues were worked out.
That being said the car only has a slight stumble in the idle. It drives, boosts and runs just fine otherwise. Probably costing me a couple of ponies but I am not ripping apart a motor so long as it keeps running the way it does.

The front was reading 60 on his gauge and the back was reading like 80.
Like I said it doesnt really make a difference, We did the compression test in the morning and it still went to the dyno and put down a ton of power and runs and holds idle.
The motor is just not tight on the rear and is leaking compression either through the side seal or the apex seal. I expect it should go through the summer just fine and I'll yank it out next winter or something and take it up there to crack it open to let Ray get a look to see where the problem is.

It was the rear that is low. Rays gauge reads backwards from what you think. It threw me off a second when I saw it too. 60 was good. 80 was low. Ask him what kind of wacky gauge it is... either that or I am losing my mind. BuT i feel preTty SaNe.. a.a.a.

I won't be down there any time soon, but once my wiring issues and gauges are sorted out I'd cruise down there. A buddy of mine lives in Waldorf, he doesn't have an RX7 but he's got about 12 other nice cars. I'm sure he'd hang out for awhile too.

I'm down for next Sunday, that'll work perfectly for me.
Nice #'s Dave! Glad to see atleast you won't have to tear it down before this coming season.
If you think it's cool with the DP left on that'd be great. I didn't know you had a welder. Hopefully you mean next Saturday and not in 12 hours. I'll get those bolts in soon and I could bring it by anytime this week. I'm sorry though, you'll have to take a 12 pack of maybe I don't know... Bud Select???
