Rotor Piston Motorsportz **CAUTION**
Hes in West Virginia now? Haha Maryland must be a dumpster fire for him. He sent me a friend request on Facebook a couple days ago. Even though his last words to me were calling me a piece of 💩. Sociopathic if you ask me.
yes he bought a house there in feb with his drug addict gf.
I was just out there 9-10 July. There were 30 cars on the lot (19 outside, 11 inside). RPM is definitely closed. I did not see the New Ownership sign, but Mike was unavailable for multiple reasons. There is still one employee left which is a great thing for the rest of us! He's basically doing his best to get cars back to people, but has limited resources to work with. Good guy (as opposed to Mike).
5 cars were picked up while I was there. All cars are in various states of completion. Many cars don't have engines in them. Most of the engines blocks are not complete and scattered throughout the shop. Most owners will be out a ton of money. Do not expect all of your parts to be on hand. Many parts were either sold or put onto other cars. I'm out $7k, but that's going to be one the lower amounts.
**IF you are one of the unfortunate owners to still have a car out there, send me your color/model/lic plate and I'll A) send you the pics & video I took of your car while I was there and B) pass your contact info on to the remaining employee.

I'm two states closer to Banzai Racing now since I moved last year. (wish I'd been closer when I started work on my FD. RPM would have been off the table at this start of this project instead of Banzai.)
So I called them to see about having them help restore my car now that I have it back in my possession.
CAR OWNER BE CAUTIONED!!
I understand that Banzai has a stellar reputation for their work. BUT, unless you want more than half the phone call to be you getting berated for making a mistake in using RPM, then don't call Banzai. Says he doesn't need the work, and with a 20-car wait-list he's right. But with the bad attitude I'll be looking elsewhere. I made a mistake, got it. I don't need you to kick me while I'm not only down, but in a hole to boot. I need someone to help me, not get offended I didn't pick them in the first place.
**Anyone know of a solid shop in the northern Kentucky / Southern Ohio area? (willing to drive to get good work!)
I've tried looking up threads here, but seems most of the shops mentioned aren't in existence anymore (eg: posts about good shops, but from 10+ years ago, so even the websites don't exist now.)

In the same boat you are bud. I have no idea what to do with my car now. Thought about selling it but I also want to keep it. Sooooo much work needs done from brakes to suspension and I don’t really have the time to do it myself. I have an 84 fb I still have the 12a engine in my garage but I want more power. Would like to rebuild it and the trans if that’s the route I would like to take at this point being fucked over by Mike.
Sorry to hear about all of the issues. Banzai has been a great resource for years, but I understand he has a long backlog and people need somewhere else to go.
We have a shop that is located in St. Louis. https://phalanxperformance.com/ 636-244-2230. phalanxperformance@gmail.com
I have known Ernie for a handful of years. He has been a great resource for our local and neighboring states. He is very honest and fair. He is a Haltech dealer, Haltech certified as well.

I would rebuild short blocks only. No installs or anything like that. However im in central nebraska and have never promoted myself as a engine builder. Ive built three over the years and all have been solid engines. Im tired of seeing people get scammed in this community. If i could be help to someone let me know. Thanks.

You have been removed from the waiting list, good luck.
He's listing a bunch of stuff now including engines now too. Better keep an eye out if you are one of the people missing parts. Call the police if you see anything resembling your parts.
Crazy he got out of jail so quickly and started selling parts.

He is out of jail, currently selling everything out of the shop. Giving customers that currently have parts or cars at the shop a 8-12 week time frame as to when they can retrieve their items or will get them returned. Theres a video going around of people confronting him with the police at the shop. Didnt result in much since it’s a civil suit. It did take the police being there to get him to come out and talk to the customers it seemed. I don’t feel confident that customers will get returned what they are owed.
If you look at his Facebook he is spending a lot of time enjoying fishing. Must be nice to have all that free time.
And then you have IRP posting on Mike's nostalgic post about when he first opened his shop and thinking he's going to make a good impact. Misery loves company I guess. They should spend more time repaying their customers/victims

I just picked up my car from RPM/Rotor Piston Motorsports(z)/Hub City/The Hobby Shop after it sat there a couple months. A lot of times, the last few weeks, nobody was at the shop. I've been going up every week. I've met other owners there.
My work cost $900 more than previously estimated, and much of the work wasn't done. But, the car wasn't running when he got it, the brake lights didn't work, and it is drivable now. I paid the extra $900 and now have the car in my possession. By, the way, it's the blue FD pictured on his Instagram account.
There's a pale green FC and a couple of gray RX-8s there. I've been talking to the owner of one of them. His motor is in parts.
Mike said he'd be out of the Hagerstown shop this week. Not sure what will happen to the cars left there. Allegedly the building is owned by Conditori Bellotti Inc or some such name. Three people are listed as owners. The front door has been chained shut and there is a summons (for Mike) taped to it. Looking up the summons it appears they've been trying to serve it for about a year.
