Question about storing car with motor pulled

Well I got the badnews about my car, the shop says it will need new front rotor, front housing, front and rear rotor bearings as well as both front and rear
bearings.

I'm having to pay the guy 600 bucks for pulling the motor and taking it apart. It blew one apex seal, I'm not sure if it took the turbos out too. Anyways after 4500 on this motor, + 600 for pulling it, he wants another 3500 to rebuild, needless to say I'm taking it elsewhere to be rebuilt.

Anyways, I'm going to pick the car up, and the motor is pulled and disassembled, I'm wondering what I would need to do to prep the car for storage, I have access to a warehouse where I will keep the motor, is there any special cause I should take with the motor, to prevent rusting or anything like that?

Also anything I need to look out for on the car, as it will probably sit in my driveway for a month or more.

Thanks
James

Try not to keep it in a damp place. Ya know, the obvious things. Anyways, why is someone else working on your car. That's a definite "No No!" Do all the work yourself and save yourself thousands. Not only in labor, but parts as well. And you'll feel better after it's all done. Just think, you broke the car, and u got it runnin' again.

I have no wrench skills and very scant tools, I'd hate to even try to do a rebuild lol.

Ya c, just buy the short block or the core. Then just install it yourself. It's not that hard. If you have questions, we can help you. Also, you might learn a thing or two about the car. But that's just me.

P.S. Even the amateur mechanic can perform this menuover (not sure if i spelled that right). So, no fears. Look at it this way. If you break something, you can replace it, and you won't even come close to what you are paying for if someone else installed the motor.

just make sure the car is not in direct sunlight,if it is then open windows to allow hot air to escape, remove the window wipers(just the blades) and put some cloth over the arms, drain screenwash water and keep an eye on tyre pressures
