I had the Rotary Performance exhaust when I had my FD, in the 2 years I had the car I never got pulled over.
Wish I could say that for my Miata.

Look up the noise emission limit in the local laws. Have it tested and notarized. Worth a shot...?

Sucks when cops have nothing better to do. Never had problems in richmond... now henrico po po on the other hand have a lot of free time.

You should get the Racing Beat Dual Tip or Single Tip exhaust. It's the most stock looking you're going to get. I've driven around in my FD for a while and it's loud as ****, and it looks loud as **** (need to do a bit of cleaning to the FD though....) and I have passed MANY cops, none of them even batted an eye at me. I've got the St. May's Dual Shotgun Exhaust.

btw, anyone going to Starbucks this Friday? I'll be there

Hey guys, saw your thread, I,ve been looking for some local Richmonders with rotary knowledge. I've been out of the scene for a while...just getting back in. I live in Midlothian and am looking for some advice...help with an RX-7 project I am starting. I would love to meet some local people. Hope to here from you.

I live in Midlothian as well, I would be happy to help out whenever I can find time. I have swapped V8's into my RX7s, but I still know enough to help out here and there.

What kind of project are you starting?

Thanks for the reply

Hey guys, I should clarify about my project. I've owned this RX-7 since I was 18 or 19. I think she was 3 when I got her. It is a true 10th Anniversary Turbo. Used to be a daily driver..got older (me)...and became a weekend toy. Family, job, etc. She did not get driven a whole lot.. Approx 120k on the odometer. All original except replacement motor about 8 or 9 years ago and a Racing Beat exhaust from the turbo back. Last time I drove her was almost 2 years ago when she blew up. Lost compression in rear rotor - blew out the apex seals. Long story short motor is out of the car. Had a friend ready to tear it down and rebuild and he got relocated. Now I am stuck. I'm mechanical enough to have gotten the motor out of the car but not sure how to proceed. Any advice...direction or help is appreciated. Thanks.

Alex's dad, I'd really like to see him get it - I wouldn't have to worry about what happened to the car then.

ALTHOUGH

If anyone with a car dolly wants to make some money I have a buyer down in Norfolk willing to pay to have it towed down.

50% chance the car will be gone after this weekend
supposedly the guy down in Norfolk is going to rent a tow dolly
and supposedly be up here tomorrow or Saturday

I give it 50% because VA is full of flakers and the kid is on VAdriven (flaker central)
