Congrads home slice!

You are right, this thread is dying. For all the talk of gathering, we never do it. Sometimes I look in envy at the get togethers the other NE guys have.

Do any of you know a good shop here in richmond to get my 7 inspected also need a shop to put some springs on my car. Any shop that knows these cars would be good.

Is there some reason your car would not pass inspection?

I know a few places in town that inspect a little less 'complete' than others. If need be, I can hook you up with some names.

As far as springs, I'm sure any shop would do the install for you - but why? You can rent a spring compressor from Autozone for free and spend a day on it wrenching in the driveway.

Yeh, but if you're not confident wrenching, springs are an area where you can really hurt yourself :O

There should be several 7's at the Sundays autoX, which should give us something to talk about, and yes I do still have the sparkly pin striping (god I need to remove or paint over it)

When you can't afford a car cover just swipe post-it notes from work

Thanks for the info I will call up auto zone. I have replaced springs before but that was in a full fledged shop while in the military.

Thanks,
Shogun

Cool. Well if you need space, I can certainly let you use a side of my garage you at least some paved driveway action. I'm located in the Mechanicsville area. If your interested or just need some pointers, drop me a PM.

Damn bro, that blows, i wish i could help you out with the legals, but when it comes to law im a dumbass. Im sorry for anyone that has to go through family **** like that, i had a bad relationship with my dad for 8 years, and now we are best friends so when i hear **** like this i feel bad cause ive been there. I think you are doing the right thing by standing your ground and also reading up on the info yourself so you have ground to stand on. Good luck, and if i know of anyone looking for a roomie ill let ya know.

from the VMSC forum today ala Michael Barnes

"We are confirmed with ACCA Temple, and this is a MEMBERS ONLY event, for April 10. The address is:

ACCA Temple
1712 Bellevue Ave.
Richmond, Virginia 23235

First Car Off is 11, so registration closes at 10. Driver's meeting is 10:30. Plan accordingly. The Shriners are probably going to arrange to offer food, probably burgers, BBQ, drinks and chips. We will have use of the smaller building on the lawn again."

WOOHOO!!!

After reading that thread I would say that you're in the clear, your dad is the one who is going to get popped by the IRS. If he tries to file electronically it's just going to get rejected.
BTW still have that spare room available, I know it's further away than you want but I mention it just in case you really need to get out some point.

How much Fun would that be!!!
They should get the best ACCA driver out there, it wouldn't even be a tight course to a go kart. I remember last year, 2 laps in like 45 sec. I beat the hell out of my tires too, squeeling the whole time and then I did 5 fun runs at the end since it was such a quick event, very unhappy Yoko's.
I have some friends that live over in the area they're just gonna walk over to watch. Finally my GF gets to see an autocross, I'm trying to get her to try it, she has a great car for autoX it's a supercharged Miata.

so the other day i was merging onto chippinham (spelled that wrong or...?) and i decided to open up my car alittle since i havent done so in a while. i rip it to redline (wasnt **** for the old motor), and decelerate down to 5.5k in third, put it in 5th and start cruising. i looked in my rear view mirror and at 80mph i could not see the car behind me because my car shot out so much blue smoke. ive NEVER had this happen to me before. im REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hoping its not an oil seal taking a **** on me. it held oil pressure, it doesnt smoke at idle, idles fine when warm (shes hates being cold). i did it again today and as soon as i hit redline more blue smoke came out, but not nearly as much.

i ran a can of BG MOA in my oil this oil change with some castrol gtx 20w40. (upped the weight for some oil pressure). also, im still using the stock oil metering system. with the other motor i was premixing my gas. im thinking about going back to premix. anyone want to take a stab at what this could be?

looks like youll see me on the bike sunday . i was looking forward to autoxing.

it could be the starter gear not getting pushed forward when its actuated.
