Shall I keep an eye out for a white FC then?
What event are you running in?
I need to put in a nice concrete slab like that, the bluestone gravel driveway thing is getting old.

So how did you like the snow? lol

Sorry I didn't make it over to say hi, I never really had a break to walk around. And I didn't see any FD's...

I hated my life this weekend, corner working in weather like that is the worst. But I was stationed at turn 1 for the endurance/sprint race this evening which was pretty badass. Lots of action there right after the green flag.

it was "interesting" to run the short course in the middle of a snowstorm, the track had stayed warm enough where it just got wet and never froze over
so i hit about 80 on the straights and between 30-50 on the turns depending on there set up.

There was some mighty nice cars at the north paddock where the big boys were racing there expensive toys.

Meanwhile I was racing on the short track, we had a few "incidents".

Saturday had started out dry for the 1st heat for the drifters and then it started to snow, and snow, and snow some more. The snow never stuck as the track was still warm from the previous day of 70 degree weather, everyone slowed down for the snow and in my heat (2nd) we had no accidents. Unfortunately the snow stopped and people got cocky the track was still soaking wet and it got colder as the day progressed and people started losing it. The gravel and dirt of the south paddock also turned into a muddy mess. Here you see my car on the other side of the sea of mud.

Sunday was much nicer - sunny and dry but unbelievably cold and windy, I was treated to a frozen driverside lock in the morning.

I had an easier time in the snow thatn I did last night pulling out of Starbucks. The Yoko's were so rock hard I nearly spun the car out pulling onto Broad street, I fishtailed all over the place - musta looked "great".

Well looks like this Friday will be just as cold as last Friday, this time though I'll watch the exiting under acceleration thing. Looks like I may need a new set of tires by May when the inspection comes up. I think I'll go for a set of all seasons and pick up a summer wheel/tire set when I can afford it.

I'm going to need new tires ASAP. Deal is I know my front end is out of alignment. The question is should I try to sharpen up my steering response, get an alignment and then new tires or alignment then new tires?

I'm considering poly bushings. Any thoughts on that? I wonder how hard they would be on install...hmm....

What tires are you considering? I've seen good deals at Tirerack but I'm running 13in wheels while I'd be you have 14's at least.

All the S5 FC's came with 15" wheels, Tirerack usually has good deals and EdgeRacing is have a really nice sale right now. When i had the Yoko's put on at Firestone I also sprung for the lifetime alignment. Don't bother getting an align, ent done befor you put new tires on.

Niburu,

If I remember correctly, the "lifetime" alignment from Firestone is actually only valid for twelve months. Look at the back of your receipt...

" Provide a Lifetime Warranty on the alignment
This entitles you to the necessary adjustments to set alignment angles to manufacturer's specifications at no charge every 5,000 miles or whenever needed. This Lifetime Warranty only applies to you the original purchaser and the original vehicle identified on the customer invoice for as long as you own the vehicle. "
so it aplies to my FC for as long as I own, it is not transferable however
I must had about 5 alinments done already

They sell a lifetime balancing on the tires too, now THAT is rip off it only lasts as long as the life of the tire and when is the last time you had a tire that needed to be rebalanced? In my 20 years of driving I don't think Ihave ever hade to have a set of tires and wheels rebalanced.

From the National Weather service
"Tonight...Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph...Becoming northwest around 5 mph after midnight. "
should be a nice night for a meetup.

It will no doubt be the opposite of last weekend in the way of attendance.
