You don't need a sponcer to compete with the best....

You are right about that, and Oso in his old 300ZX is the prof of that, however PR racers are mechanics or tuners. If they come over to the US to race in NHRA, Nopi, etc, all expenses are coming out of their pocket, yet that is not the main issue. Who takes care of there bussines back home? If they don't work on their bussines, they don't earn money, if they don't earn money, who supports their family?, the sport? and it keeps going.

Take for exampe Kilo racing; he had to stop racing different events because he couldn't keep up with the expenses. Kilo actually had the oportunity to return back to FL after each race, and take care of his bussines. Imagined those PR racers who spend two weeks in US once or twice a year.

It gets very expensive.

It gets very expensive just to go to Atco coming from NY! $25 gas, $15 tolls, $15 food, $20 at the gate, and God forbid you break down anywhere in between.lol

Similar prices PR racers pay when they have to race at the different race parks in the island...

Thats obvious, but still bringing a car across country ain't cheap. remember joe pays the expenses for the PR cars to attend......... still one person alone here is making a killing and that is the track owner.........
