Ryan majored in meteorolgy in college, Maybe you should ask him... Saturday and Sunday I thought it was going to rain at the track but Ryan said that it 30% chance of rain.... While I was there Saturday I didn't feel one drop.... Today, if it rained 5 minutes at the track it was alot..... I just got off the phone with Ryan and he said the weather was like yesterday, no rain......

Cool I went Sunday. They ran till about 2:30pm and got the first round in for the Eliminations. The place was so packed that I had to park outside! Too bad the weather was bad. Hopefully there will be a raindate. So many beautiful rotaries!

You forgot the massive shot of NOS................... car has the same setup as Bam Bam........
Hey Ernie, I'm still here through tomorrow ... if you made the drive up to NY we could still do a shoot.
The event was awesome, it was great meeting all these guys I've known for years on the forum. And NEVER have I seen so many people nuts about rotaries in one place, incredible ... I'll be back for the rain make-up date!

pan-ams
somebody mentioned that the pan-ams havent been the same since 97-98. i agree, but i'l tell you why it was better in years past. back in 97. puerto rico brought out all of the fastest 4 cylinders and rotaries of the time. you had sakura running high 7's, falito, flaco, gato racing, cheo gomez, quiles ect ect all running low 8's which at the time was awesome.
if puerto rico were to bring out some of there fastest cars like new falito 7.4's siguel running 6.8's, major league running 7.00's, nibo who is running in the 7.2's consistently. if they bring those cars and a few others who are running low 7's, the event would be better, the problem is that they are bracket racing. puerto rico wants to win the pan-ams so they bring cars that are not as fast, but consistent. when you run bracket only consistent cars win. thats why you see some many rotary nitro only cars running the event. they are consistent, therefor have a better shot at winning in bracket.

It's more about power, and money; I don't know the whole story, but it all comes down to power and money. Everything started five or so years ago, when the PR team decided to race at Englishtown also, couple of weekends before the Pan-Ams at Atco. Somebody did not like that, and everything went south from that point on. Some also say, that the winners were not being paid...
Concerning bracket racing, hell there's not enough cars racing the same times, so bracket racing gives those backyard mechanics a chance at the trophy too. Nothing wrong with that
Well Ryan donno if you got my message about why I didn't make it the 2nd day but here's some pictures of what I managed to run over in the middle of I-95, blew tire, spun around recovered and then limped the car home.
No deer attached to these there were just 20pieces of antlers strung across the highway like some creative spike strip.

Given the chance I would choke joe sway jr. myself, the guys an *******, he's tried to kick me off the track before because I didn't look of age and called my ID fake and kept it until I threatened him to give it back. Also promised to give my admissions fee back since i was there for press, never got that, and most recently told Ryan that to get press passes for RxTuner that we have to do something for him, the publication of the event is what magazines do for him, bleh Atco would be a much better track under different managment.
