just the front cover o-ring and pressure control valve. Also the pressure contorl valve on the rear housing.
I noticed I mis-spelled here. I meant checkthe front cover o-ring and pressure control valve. Also the pressure contorl valve on the rear housing

wow, and with the damn prices of fuel goin up and up and up... haha and my fuel light is on now too, all that dilly dallying in the yard adds up lol! was hopin to put my new fuel tank in today, but the damn rain caught up to me, but i did manage to repack and tighten up my front wheel bearings and discover that my oil cooler is leakin, so i gotta replace the crush gaskets on the bottom banjo bolt, so i hear an oil change comin up then, good time to get that taken care of and put my oil filter pedestal on and get those gauges hook up... haha never ends...lol, i love it!

If you can't get an inspection sticker, let me know. I know a place that will give one to you.

Question about 2nd Gens. What is the most likely cause of one idling 500 rpm's too high? This one is completely stock so no butterfly's were removed.

could be many things . was the car sitting for a period of time? , could be o2 sensor. could be maf . could be stock pedal . describe the running of the engine is it smoking a bit ? anything else you can tell us would help diagnose it closer.

O2 sensor would not create a high idle.
AFM would not create a high idle.

When did it start idling high? What did you do before hand.

Vacuum leak
Thermowax on the back of the TB could be out of adjustment or bad
Throttle body could be stuck open
Timing out of adjustment or adjusted incorrectly.

I have also noticed the TPS causing high idle now and then. Why this would be, I have no clue. The ECU advances the timing at around 1100-1300 rpm so if the TPS is out of adjustment and the ECU still thinking the TB is open and not closed, I still don't see how the TPS would effect it. O well.

What Rpm is your engine sitting at?

Unfortunately, I can not tell you anymore about it. It is a car I am considering buying. Its an 88 N/A and the owner says it needs an air bypass valve. I am not sure what he or she has done to it prior to this happening.

My guess would be thermowax or something similar on the TB. a Vacuum leak would cause an irratic idea, it would be lumpy and **** not just higher. Oh and the throttle body mod will not make your car idle higher, well it will if you don't adjust the idle afterwards but I had a solid 750-800rpm idle with full emisions removal including throttle body mod and BAC valve.

Vacuum leak would cause an irratic idea,
Actually depending on where and how large the leak is and where your AFR is, the engine rpm would raise and idle perfectly fine.

Oh and the throttle body mod will not make your car idle higher, well it will if you don't adjust the idle afterwards
If anything it would lower the idle and you would have to raise it.

needs an air bypass valve
Im guessing he means the BAC valve. If so then IF it sticks open and not fully closing, this could also cause a high idle. Either way, fixing a high idle issue is a very simple task to do. Its simple to troubleshoot by process of elimination.
