I would bring food, cookies, chips, and drinks.

I think he needs to put a jar out or something for people to throw a few bucks in, but it is fucked up that people come and dont bring or contribute anything- even worse is they invite their friends with other cars who dont bring anything

I know why he doesn't have the BBQ's... because its a lot of money to do those things and not everyone brought something! I was at his shop on Sunday. I am more than 100% certain that he would host the BBQ there if everyone brings something... for gods sake it wont kill everyone to bring something for $10 and we would have more than enough floor and drinks and everything we need...

I like that the only people who posted were ones who said we should be chipping in... Because that's the people I wanted to see reply and people who don't contribute!

I think we should have chuch set a date that works for him and then we set up a met that day and anyone who shows up needs to bring something... (and we make a list so we don't have 100 hotdogs and no kethcup) lol

fiz- sometimes I dont read so well

if you have to resort to wrist bands the event is dead

the purpose is to get people together to shoot the **** about cars and hang out, if it has to resort to wrist bands the wrong people are there and it kills the whole vibe. Congrats to those for ruining it for everyone else

This used to happen with the ny rotary association meets years back. I would spend $50 on hot dogs, buns, soda... people would show up, start eating, and complain there is no mustard and ketchup. Meanwhile, it was 5 of us just bought food for 50 people.

I wasn't insinuating anything, nor was I calling people out really. It's just the way things turn out sometimes, could be any event for anyone.

The wrist band idea isn't so bad. Every year my friend throws a huge party at his house; giant subs, BBQ, kegs et cetera. $10 for a wrist band, everyone has fun. Expenses are covered.

yeah man those bbq's are always good. and cant beat the runs! that **** is always crazy.

Like I said, I Was with Chuch on Sunday... Lets have him chime in here and say what day is good for him to host! he don't bring nothing! and everyone else bring everything... only fair...

He had mad BBQ's last year where he dished out money for all of us to have a good time. lets bring the good time to him. plus that will give him time to run his car on the street! =)

Agreed ^

When we did "The Rotary Factory meet" me and omar not only went half on food.... but we also had to pay the guy to open the parking lot in the back.... which was a pretty penny considering that we didn't charge for the event, and no one really parked there. lol

But in the end,
The community came together and helped keep the grill alive. In which plenty of people took it upon them self's to run over to the store and grab something, Some even volunteered to work the grill.

Overall,
Some people brought something..... some didn't.... but I made sure to still encourage everyone to eat. Because it was more important that everyone had fun, then single them out for not bringing anything.

Dennis and Omar also organized a to bring list as well that helped out alot. I have to be honest though, I remember being invited to a bbq and Chuch never told me to bring anything so if I went, I don't think I would have. If asked to, I would have brought whatever he needed just like I did at rotar factory.

Make it happen bro, let him know we are all willing to bring food & drinks. He doesn't need to spend, just have a good time! Let's make a list in advance for people who are willing to contribute

Haha....just kidding John!
I always enjoy checking out the cars, and checking in with some familiar faces at the BBQ's. I'll be honest, I rarely brought anything to contribute to the grillin' action, but always brought my own beverages and ALWAYS slapped a few bucks into Chuch's hand.
Next time I'll bring some food and maybe actually stick around for more then a half hour!

Chuch is down. I know he is... he is always down... its the food and funding that hurts... he shouldn't have to buy anything we all bring everything... if he sets a date. lets get a list going of who is going and who is bringing what. so we know we have enough of everything.

Quick Reply: next function7 (chuch) BBQ?
