If Ben doesn't have a ride to Gensai's on the 21st I'll pick Ben up.
My idle needs to be rock solid. Is removing the AWS the same as the BAC valve? I've also heard rumors of the orange solonoid being important for AWS. Can I keep the thermowax in my throttle body or do I have to do the throttle body mod too? I just want to remove the 3 lines that come from the ACV...

you have a second gen right ill help find a guide.
i dont know if this is true for second or 3rd gens but if you remove the smog pump/air pump and the acv. you dont gain any thing from removing the rats nest just a cleaner setup.

ok, so i had my first boostcreep free ride in my car tonight! it was amazing! i scared the hell out of my sister....she's a wimp. but the car is fast(to me its fast). i'm going to be in tewksbury tomorow evening ben if you want a ride in 2nd gen. i'm going to visit jordan(the guy i bought the car from) and give him a ride. we could come by your house if you will be home. some time around 6 or 7. send me your phone number if you will be around and we can come by and see your car too.
Actually there is a benefit. Less useless vacuum lines to fail. That's something to gain in my book. There is a sticky in the 2nd gen archives but it's vague with no pictures. Rotary Ressurection's site has pictures but he has the engine out of the car and removes like literally everything.

I think I'll get a video today of the Gilmers and post it up here.
Everything bolted on fine for me. It helps to have air tools of course. I had to open up the holes on the water pump pulley, not a big deal. Not sure if it's the same on yours, but on the 13BT crank pulley you just have to remove the four small bolts.

as far as the aws goes, it's really it's own little system. i have removed it on a couple throttle bodys before and it's really easy. cleans things up a ton and get's rid of that damn system.
Here's a vid of my Gilmer drive. The quality sucks and I didn't feel like waiting for it to stop surging.
