Car still doesn't want to start, but the wires are in a lot better condition which is what I wanted to fix.

now I think I'm just going to rewire my battery relocation to try to get rid of some of the noise.

Well, That's good. Is it cranking over or just not getting a signal from the CAS. We can use my scan tool to back prob the connector to see if you are getting a proper signal if you need it. Then just back prob it from the ecu and see if its getting interference or just nothing at all. that will tell you if its you battery relocation or not, before you go and do all that work for nothing man.

The car push starts no problem. It's just electrical noise from the starter that drops the second trigger signal.

I have to double check some of the dashpots on the megasquirt first. but rewiring the battery like I have in mind won't take long.

Well guys, my 91 coupe is up at speed1 & its been waiting for a motor bc the original motor was trash :'(
anyways.... Well dave from speed1 emails me & told me, he has a buyer for my car.. Which is cool because im gonna double my money....i have money on credit & i have parts to pick up. Im gonna have to drive up there, settle with buyer. My question is about the title, when i purchase my 91. I never switch my title to my name . Should this be a problem for the buyer? Its been about 4 months after i bought it. Shouldnt be a problem? Should it? Lmk. Thanks

It depends on where you are getting it titled. If they title it in MD it will be hard to title it without a bill of sale between the titled person and buyer. It is though old enough that the bill of sale does not need to be notarized soooo... a bill of sale could technically be made up without the titled buyer if you know what i mean. BTW this is all for MD i PA i believe it needs to be notarized no matter what.

Did you sign the title yet? If not just have the new owner sign it and that's all you have to do. Your just a middle man. If you did sign it. Then you will have to go and get the title in your name, Then give that one to the new owner. I'm sorry to here about the bad news man. I know you had high hopes for her. The NA motors just run for so long that when they start showing signs of something wrong its usually to late to rebuild it. I'm getting an engine in a couple weeks that might be good if you need one.

One of my stub shafts popped out of my diff on Sunday on the way to the autocross (or possibly Friday night when I was checking the travel of the rear suspension)... apparently only a little bit of the splines were in the diff and I twisted it:

They don't really match up anymore and it doesn't go back in

But on an up note I got to drive my friend David Lane's 300 hp turbo FB that was pretty cool and won SSM in that instead.

*sigh*... the time with the corolla was my fault... that axle just didn't have a circlip lol. This time it was probably my fault too... But it did have a circlip I swear! (I took it off before I took the picture)

lol, that actually didn't occur to me... but I think it'll pass... as of now my FD torsen LSD is hopefully still functional, I'd like to keep it that way and not shear a stub shaft in half and throw chunks of metal into it.

new S4 stub shaft is on it's way from mazdaspeed.

Contact Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda. He usually has very reasonable prices. Below is a link to one of his sales where the Headlight cover was offered for $70 (about a year ago). The headlight cover is a common fail point on these cars so if you find one off a member or ebay it is usually brittle and about ready to break or already re-epoxied back together. If you have the cash, get a new one that will last a bunch of years, and be careful about leaning on them when working in the engine bay.
