done is deffinitly relative, my car's been out of comission for a long time... the last time I drove it (with minimal success) was last summer

While we are talking about where are cars are relative to being done...I just order a stricker kit and complete suspension for my audi. so I'll poor what money I have left into getting the rest of my engine together...Its ported, painted, and all new fuel system. Upgraded the oil cooler.
So now I'm just trying to figure out the detail of running a NA motor with a turbo...

NA Irons
NA E-Shaft
NA Statoinary Gears

TII Rotors + Rotor housings.
TII Turbo manifold, turbo, etc.

It seems that evryone says to do something different.

umm a good place to start is off this forum. Usually there are people wanting to sell their engines and stuff. If u have any question gonna direct you to TOFUBALL (thats right jason I am sending you to him) He is probably one of the best people to learn from. He will teach u how a rotary works (he will show u a demonstration too if u would like to see one) and a bunch of other stuff. Great Guy very friendly, very smart too =P Well got exams to get crackin on good luck man. Later

Keep an eye out in this section for "Crazy Rays"... That's the local scrapper. Sometimes Jason (Tofuball), Myk (eage8), and I hit that place up with tools and load my truck up with engines. We should have a trip up there in the next few weeks.

Bring at least $150 if you go that route. That's how much a bare block costs.

You might wanna also check the for sale section or this section for an engine. I know Ian (Molotovman) was selling one recently. He's local and a good guy too.

Tofuball might have an S4 engine, but I doubt it. I think they're all turbos.

Not sure how long that red vert is gonna be there...

I'm thinking of the blue GXL that was up on stacks of tires with the aftermarket wheels on it. Though that's probably gone as well...

which one are you talking about? the sparkly blue one or the bright blue one? because the sparkly one just had '91 coupe wheels, and the bright blue one (didn't see it last time I was there) just had aluminum spares on it.

and I was there last week, and the red vert was still there...

Pics of my C6

Since it's raining, and I don't feel like doing anything, here's a few pics of the not-washed-since-today's-rain C6. Yes, I know I need to do some mowing and landscaping.

The red vert is still there, but it has been moved to the back, near where the sparkly one was. The sparkly black one was gone today.

The blue GXL is still there, straight back in the center.

Keep an eye out for any more S5's and Miatas. I needs me a 94-97 Miata tranny. It'll be the older body style with the 1.8L engine.

Hokay!

So, I was setting the timing on my TII, and I rev the engine and the backpressure blows the O2 sensor clean out of the downpipe. No more threads. Right.

So I replaced the DP and finished up installing the stock exhaust w/ Borla catback on the TII.

I ran out of muffler mud so I used JB weld. I wonder how that is going to turn out

The car is INSANELY quiet now. It's disturbing.

It is quieter then my N/A ever was.

It is interesting to reflect: I barely ever see RX-7s without a performance exhaust, or some falling apart 20 year old stock exhaust :P

I don't like how I can't hear the turbo spool now :P

yeah I think with the discovery of borla's and magnaflows performance and the fact the deepen up the exhaust note to keep the cops off you while you are just normal driving should finally put a end to the POS over priced Racing Beat ****.
