iirc, the steel is just to reinforce the rubber/plastic material of the hose. it isn't sealed against liquid transgressions (i really couldn't think of how exactly i could put that)

Talking

That is why you should replace all the lines on your car with lead helical wraped quarter-inch-thick-walled heat treated stainless steel tubing with teflon interior and four layers of rubber/tin EM sheilding.

Tolerences for line size will be withing the micron.

That will be encased in a tube of solid irridium and will run streight through the passenger compartment. Because of the price of the line it will be watched night and day by a squad of elite gaurds and one lady who keeps the outer layer polished and shiny.

Welcome to the club Mike, Did you keep the pin on the extinguisher for a momento? Also - does this mean it's time to order a hose kit for you? =)

no, i jacked his kit to fix mine, so i wanted to know if he would be needing it replaced like...now.

Also - anyone have an electric air pump i could zip tie on for emisions - what do you think my chances are with poping on a new cat and running an air pump...but nothing else - plus add in the fact i am now pre-mixing.

Ofcourse we would do the dentatured alchohol thing...

Any guesses? Bets to be placed? =)

A guy at my guard base that has a bunch of muscle cars said i could prob make up excuses to delay the test for over 2 years...i was thinking about that too

some good advice i got from a guy on supra maillist

(Mods + Repairs)/Money Spent = Hassle.....

As the amount of money you spend approaches zero, the hassles you have to go
through reaches infinity....

Also of note is the saying "Fast, Cheap, Reliable.... Pick two".

stainless steel braided lines are designed to strengthen the internal hoses from expanding and causing stress cracks...also the braids are a good external protector for the hose from the elements.

I think all my hoses are fine, but I'll probably want to replace them soon anyway, so that would be cool. the fire extingusher didn't have a pin for some reason lol, ask jason, it was his....

Oh yeah, The Vert vs. the 4x4 Pathfinder. I think this explains it best.

ok, i'm going to need some parts for my car since i was in an accident yesterday.

front right is crumpled a bit... don't think it got as far as the front fender though, so i'm happy. the bumperskin is cracked in half, headlight plastic is gone, supporting structure fscked. time for a fiberglass bumper / hood?

umm... corvettes use electric air pumps... you could go to a junk yard and try to find one.... as for the premixing, did you totally remove the OMP stuff cause if that's still injecting oil too it would be harder to pass.

and also I'm pretty sure you need a fuel computer to do the alcohal thing cause you have to turn it really lean. but I could be wrong.

as for the the excuses, when I called I didn't even need an excuse, I just called and they were like what are your plate numbers, and I told them and they were like you have till feburary (this was in september)

Basically, there was a truck ahead of me going about 40mph.. so I was going about that as well a good distance behind him (about a second and a half) ... Dude pulls into the next lane over, and I find myself looking at cars not moving whatsoever.... Tried threshold breaking then cranking the wheel over... but the lady in front of me was oblivious i guess and didn't move forward any to let me get on the shoulder.

Yep, time for Suds to be a SAFE AND RESPONSABLE DRIVER!!! :-p

Translation: You dont have to go as fast as the speed limit! It is only a LIMIT! You can go a full 10MPH less and be fine!

Translation for poeple like me and suds: you don't have to go 20 or 30 over the speed limit, 10 over is ok too.
