Wow, theres like, seven unsecured wireless networks in this neighborhood.

(I'm in Blacksburg, VA)

Why would I ever actually PAY for internet access?

You have to heat it with a torch, then it pops right off. If you can get it to glow... that's the ideal temp.

I ended up heating it. I was a little worried at first because of the 140-degree thermostat thats directly behind the bolt but I don't think I'm going to be putting it back in anyway so off came the e-shaft bolt. Now the flywheel nut, thats a whole new epic. Bent two angle irons so far just picked up a third which is slightly thicker than the other two so we'll see soon enough. Also went and bought a bigger compressor and tank. YAY!

Well... FD motor is completely apart. Housings and rotors "look" good so I think I can get away with just a rebuild kit. I'm still a little leary about ordering it just yet. I'd rather wait until I can check for warpage and what not so I don't end up with a rebuild kit and still have to buy a new motor.

I wanted to have the motor apart last night so I could clean everything today but it looks like I"m going to have to wait until friday to do the cleaning unless I take a day off work this week. Thats going to set me back about a week on getting the FD back on the road since I doubt I'd order the kit until I've cleaned and then checked everything. I'll probably take pics, tired and hungry right now. I love my new compressor
