Junkyards?
There's a thread listing Mechanics of the area, how bout Junk yards.
Brandywine of NoVa and Maryland SUCKS ***... They price on a sliding scale. The Scale slides along with how much you need the parts. Usually their prices are capped at just slightly below what a new one would cost.
Of course they DO keep a great inventory of all their sister yards in the area... Unfortuantely, they own most of the yards in the area...
There's Penny's down in HoodBridge. They're decent as far as I can tell... Still a bit pricey.
I've HEARD of Crazy Rays in Maryland... Anyone got any more they'd like to share?
There's just some things you can't ship.

Brandywine used to be much better about 15 years back. They weren't so savvy about what parts cost new. For example, I got a MINT set of 89+ TurboII tail lights (all of them) for 100 bucks. New from dealer at that time they were 700+
Nowadays, they know what parts cost new and you are right... they jack up prices. You can still get a deal there but it's definitely not the goldmine it used to be.
Crazy Ray's.... Yeah I've heard of his place too. I think it's up near Frederick, MD, but I'm not sure.

Crazy Ray's is in Jessup...decent place, though i've never been in the import section. if you need a domestic motor - GO HERE! my roommate found a stock motor for his 95 cavalier for $150, and all he needed to do was clean out one of the cylinders - it had been hydrolocked. overall, decent yard with decent prices.
there's a place up in PA somewhere that is HUGE, though i don't recall the name or location.
there's a yard in Elkton, MD, on Rt 40. decent selection, but i'd call ahead. they're one of the yards that www.car-part.com links to.
there's also Petrie's(or something like that) in Westminster. YF19 and i checked the place out, and he ended up going back later. they had a few FCs on the property when we where there, but like all yards their stock changes. that was a pretty cool place, and is probably second best out of the ones i visited - the top was the one in PA. i'll try to get the name of that one.

The junkyards I know of no longer have any RX-7s at all, except one place near Ruckersville, VA with a few. Carson Lester (junkyard) in Danville, VA used to have tons of RX-7s, so check them out on next trip to VIR.
Best bet is people who have their own stashes.

Ugh. PA is a bit far of a drive...
Yeah. We need a more thorough regional breakdown in here... Heading back to the suggestions forum with the observations.

Wagners - North of the Pittsburgh
Wangers is just 30 miles north of Pittsburgh, PA and have 4 FCs two weeks ago. Nice people. johnwagnerandsons.com
There's a jackass outside of Uniontown, PA with several FCs, but I wouldn't shop there if they paid me to take the parts. Actually, I'll pay new retail for used parts before I shop at any of the related junk yards.

Crazy Ray's has GREAT prices. You just pull it. Brandywine on Route 301 sucks ***. Good thing there is a Crazy Ray's in Glen Burnie now, that is 30 mins from me. Jessup is an hour tops.
Crazy Ray is the best junk yard I have been too. great prices on most everything. but they don't have FC very often, well, I have seen some s4, but not what I want. anyhow, I haven't been there for long long time, but it is a good place to start with if you are looking for cheap used parts for anything.
