O'yeah, just finished the install on my water/meth kit. Very cool looking trunk mount coolingmist kit. Got to get to dyno and tune it now.

i dont know much about this car or rx-7 in general. so far the con's are
1. It's a automatic (not too bad, i can live with that even maybe convert it down the road)
2. the color (isn't really my taste but i can live with it)
3. the location (i live in york county, VA so FL is some distance for a car)
4. the interior (but for the price he is asking i would have enough left over to fix that up)
i want to start this car as a fun weekend or joyride car but i plan on turning it into a project track car down the road right now i'm looking for a rx-7 that's slightly modified, exterior not to bad but no preference there cuz i have my own plans inmind and interior doesn't matter if the asking isn't to high cuz i can just change that. i'm just looking for nicely done motor with nice power for a good price looking to stay under 15,000 but under 10,000 is even better i know i should put this in the wanted section but being that you guys are local i want to ask here first thanks in advance to anyone that can help

For you first RX-7 I would stay away from this one. First off it's an automatic and the conversion process is ridiculous. Second it's in Florida and i'm assuming u will be driving it back. You will also need to do some tests on the car before u try a trip like that. i.e. checking for boost, leaks, over heating problems, and suspension possibly. Just be careful when u buy RX-7's...these cars are sensitive and if not taken care of properly can easily cause you problems. If at all possible, take someone with you that knows a lot about them. That will definitely help in the long run.

I have a hydrolic press. It will press small and medium sized bearings and bushings. Also you can use an aircompressor fairly easily for checking boost leaks.

By bushings I assume you mean the pillow ball mounts (heim joints) in the rear and there are six of them. Cost about $40 a piece last I remember. RP trailing arms and toe links are nice but not really needed unless you plan to drag race.
The FD uses unit bearings which rarely fail. If you have a little play in the suspension it may just be a pillow ball mounts. I would replace these first.

If you can drive a manual, definantly look out for one. I think you will have more fun with it, plus it will be better on gas.

On a side note, today I should be bolting my driveshaft back on my other FC and then the entire drive train will be on and I can start doing wiring

Hmmm, nothing comes to mind right away, besides wheel rub... It would probably be easier to isolate if you had a second person around to hear it. I'd be happen to help you out.

getting hot/hummid out. Anyone local do a/c system work(ie: refill/recharge). Or can recommend someone who knows what they are doing?

hall mazda told me 258+tax minimum dpending on how much freon i need. I called hall, because I've seen more than a few rx8's there and they seem decent.
