I'm the other red FD you might see running around Norfolk. Dynoed today over at abacus racing 389rwhp @ 14psi. Could have probably broke 400 with a little more tuning (Afrs were a little rich up top) but it was too dang cold behind those fans.
Steen Racing just went out of business for those who might have used their dynojet.
I'll try to make one of the club meets this year. Def have 400+ by then...

Isn't Grafton up north? If so, that's cool. I have a really good friend in that area who I could coordinate with. I understand about you needing time with getting back up on your feet so no biggie. I'll try to stay in contact, but I'm in the middle of my big move for the entire month. Being in the airforce too doesn't lend itself to allowing me alot of convenience or time, so as far as the car goes I have nothing but time. Would you be willing to take pics of the progress? I haven't driven my car in a while and am pretty sure the car has deteriorated some if not alot.

BTW, congrats on your son!!!

Pics are no problem , actually that a regular thing for me . Grafton is in Yorkcounty , right beside Newport News and hampton zip 23693. When you get a chance , please wright up a list of the things you want to do and in order you want them done , and send them in PM

Thanks aton

Va

Kenny, Congrats on the new one.

Everyone,

We decided it was best with the weather forecast to move the meet Saturday night to the following weekend. If you were planning on comming tomorrow.... Here is what I plan to do.

If the weather is OK (means it is not snowing, icy and the roads are relatively safe) I will go to East Side Pizza anyway about 6:00 PM. If it is snowing or freezing rain or anything like that, don't show up. If me and a few other people are there we will run over to AIK after eating and have fun. If not, I will just go home.

Here are the details
Hampton Roads Mazda Rotary Car Club January Meetup

We are going to do it a little differently this time. We are going to have a meetup at AIK, but we are going to go to East Side Pizza and hang out with the cars, grab some pizza, etc before going to American Indoor Karting for an evening of Kart racing. AIK has changed the layout of the track so all of the times will be different this time, and most of us will not have any experience on the new track. It will still be a super track night.

So a night of East Side Pizza, then kart racing. Just remember not to eat too much to slow you down on the track.

East Side Pizza is located in Portsmouth. This system just does not show the city sometimes.

AIK's address is:

American Indoor KartingAddress:
2884 Airline Blvd
Portsmouth, VA 23701
(757) 405-9715

When
Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 6:00 PM 20080119T230000Z
Where
East Side Pizza
5618 Portsmouth Blvd
Portsmouth , VA 23701
(757) 488-3113

Man that sounds like so much fun...too bad I'm hardly ever in VA and never got to hang out with anybody while I lived there. It'll always be home though.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to send a quick intro. I'm new to the Hampton Roads area as the wonderful Air Force has deemed my presence here necessary. I currently am driving an 85 gs. I tried to register on the other forum linked in the first post but it said that the administrator disabled registration. I don't really have as much time to work on the car as I used to as my wife and I just had our first baby, but every now and then I can sneak out and turn a few wrenches.

Anyway I just wanted to say hello to the fellow Hampton Roads people on the forum.

WARNING WARNING!!! Break in Sunday night!! I just sold my rx7 and it is about to be shipped to the buyer but lastnight someone broke into it by breaking the passenger side window, fortunately they only stole the cd player and broke the window and didn't attempt for thousands of dollars worth of parts. The worse part is I just took insurance off of it Saturday after I sold the car. The police claim they aren't coming out (even tho I found a lighter laying in the broken glass and I don't smoke!!! Cops are completely worthless. Anyways, keep your alarms armed and your car near.

Thanks for the welcome, unfortunatly I'm going out of town on leave from the 24th to the 30th so unless it's after that I may have to meet up next time. Also is there anyone in the area that has experience with tuning the carbs? This is my first time with a carbourator and even though I've read up on them a lot it's always kind of nice to have someone that knows what they're doing around in case it goes wrong.

Thanks again
