Weather is nice, I got 2 RX7's running (mine and my daughters), it is time for us to get to meet somewhere again. Maybe about 2 weeks from now? Any good ideas of events to get together at, or anything. If you have ideas suggest them and we'll do something. If nobody suggests something I will just pick a place an time that is convenient for me and hope some others show up.

Things I know happening:

TSCC autocross at Little Creek Amphib base (Best autocross site on the east coast) 4/18, go to http://www.tidewatersportscarclub.com for information.

Any others?

DNF= Did Not Finish ---> usually means you missed a certain amount of gates or went on the wrong side of a mandatory gate.
it's cool to hear of a 3rd gen at an autocross, can't say that ive ever seen one there. wish i could make it to the one on the 18th, i agree that Little Creek is by far the nicest/coolest/best/most awesome auto-x place around here.

calvin, why dont we meet at a hooter's again? the weekend of the 24th sounds good, at least for me. let's get a lot of people to go, last couple ones i went to we only had a few people show up!

I think we should meet at hooters on VA Beach in the next week or so. by the way does anyone know anybody who does good cheap paint work. The vice president of RX Tuner sent me a email saying he wanted to use my car in the next issue. Well i got the email after i started sanding on my car So now i need to paint this thing asap. Oh well, it's time to face reality. It's time to let go of a project, that I'm just not going to find the time for. So I'll pass it on to the next Rotary fanatic who is looking for a Rare and satisfyying challenge.

Good luck.

Nah, actually I'm lucky in that regards. It's just that I have 8 cars (minus a widebody rx7 I just sold=7) and I'm getting tired of having cars looking at me with that look... you know "Buddy when are you gonna' let me run with the pack... you promissed this will be the year"

Hmmm... lets see what I have here... Hey look it's a "two-for-one" can-o-whoop *** sale for owners of Rx-7''s w/ piston engines

Seriously though, I don't know... I'm going to try to straighten out my garage and see what I can find.

What engine will you be using?
You need any specific parts ?

OK haven't been here for a few days... Lemme catch up:

Hey calvin what does DNF mean?...
HR 404 was correct. Means you might have missed a gate or someting. For a first timer, don't worry about it.

I taught an autocross school a couple of weekends ago. Course following was unfortunately one of the things that was not addressed in that school. I am going to sugguest that to the organizers.

calvin, why dont we meet at a hooter's again? the weekend of the 24th sounds good, at least for me.
Someone suggested that the NOPI event was that weekend. I might even like to go to that myself. SO..... that being said... what about the following Saturday... May 1st? Hooters.... I suggest the one at Battlefield, but I am flexible...
so vote for which Hooters from this list:
General Booth (Va Beach)
Battlefield (Chesapeake)
Military Hwy (Norfolk)
Waterside (Norfolk)
Mercury Blvd (Hampton)
Jefferson Ave (Newport News)

Vote for your choice and I'll choose from it....Assume May 1st unless you hear otherwise.

does anyone know anybody who does good cheap paint work.
I might suggest calling Dale Blankenship at Macco in Hampton on Pembroke Ave... tell him you autocross as he is an autocrosser and what you are looking for. He is a good guy willing to work with you.

Rich!!! Hate to see you selling your truck... Wish I could get it now, but I am really in the same boat as you. Too many cars not enough time. But I do have 2 legal and registered and running RX7's again!!! I could trade you another project for it.... :-) Oh and FWIW Phooka is on the lookout for a rotary powered RX7 again... lets find him one... he is looking for a later FB GSL ideally. You might consider him getting out of the V8 RX7 bisness :-)

Who else is going to go to the AUTOX
I am going. Phooka has promised he is going. Even if you want to just watch you need to get on the "access list" on the TSCC site by Wednesday. That will get you onto the base and into the site. Even if you are military, you can't get into the site unless you are on the list... so even if you are thinking about it, get on the list now. It is OK if you put your name on the list and don't show up....
