Ok who all was at the autocross Sunday. I talked to jimmdog and turboIImadman. There were also 2 other 3rd gens and a gold first gen that I never managed to catch up with.... Was I really that busy?

Went ot the autox yesterday, and let me tell you I suck, but I had helluva good time. I would have done that untill I broke my car, had they let me. Cant wait till the next one. Ive done a bit of road coarse driving and while its lots of fun it scares the Hell outa me Autocross is a blast.

My plan is having the GSLSE there at the next event. I still don't have to running yet, but I should have it this weekend, but I still have pretty much to do. I should probably see if a bunch of people want to come help wrench on a couple of RX7's this weekend.

 

Ok, just to bring this up to date... The S2000 guys are planning on getting together for about a 100 mile drive through the rural parts of Va. Beach. They would like the RX7 guys to join them and RedX7 has been trying to line it. He is apprently currently out of town, so I am going to relay the details.

Meet at the Exxon station at General Booth and Dam Neck Rd at 2PM Sunday the 14th. With me so far? Good.

Then as follows:

1. Meet and Greet
2. Gas Up for a little hike (about 100 miles or so)
3. Drive into Pungo, North Carolina, Knotts Island....back into Pungo for Old Pungo Ferry Rd and into Chesapeake
4. Finish around 6:00 PM for dinner (dinner spot TBD soon)

It sounds great to me. I hope to be there, but I still have a car down. I am going to try.

yeah the autocross was pretty cool. Really wish I could have had aftermarket suspension but oh well. I did okay anyway. Hopefully I'll be at the s2k RX-7 meet. im trying to do some body and paint work this week.

 

Well, I'm back, but my engine blew. I have almost no combustion, a really rough idle, and more blue smoke than I care to see. I've got a warranty on it, and I hope to have it back on the road before I leave on deployment. If not I'll just save up and get some 3mm ceramic seals. I might be able to make the meet in evf2000's S2K.

Yeah, I had it built and tuned by KDR back in November. I don't blame them at all. I think that it was just a bad part that did it. (Being in the Navy, I see bad parts all the time. Sometimes, only after it's too late.) It's still under warranty thankfully. I'm taking it back up there this weekend. I'll let you all know what exactly happened.

 

That sh-- Will never Fly Wilbur, but thanks for the free advice. You guys get that se goin and Ill try to go cruzin with yall Hopefully It'll be warm on that day cause my heater core blew yesterday and I had to by pass it. Thank God summer is on d way.

well i got the date. i'll be back in VA on the 26 just dropped my 2 weeks on monday.

 

but without my rx-7 i had to trade it in on a work truck and couldnt afford to have them both but before to long i will get another ha ha ha ha.....

Speking of which, I missed the RX7-S2000 gathering this weekend because I am up agains lots of deadlines. One of which is preparing my new GSLSE for VIR in a few weeks. I should have it drivable the next evening or two. I plan to do some major swap-outs between this car and my old one. Some things just need replacing on this car, and I have a good one of each on my old car.
