Why dont you just go to mazda and get a new reman for like $2300? You will have to pay a core charge or give them your motor but thats the route i would go/

If you have a cherry picker, and are willing to drive to NJ, you can have mine, pull it right out.

I brought the car about 5 years ago, it had just been rebuilt and I even pait Judge Ito to come with me and do a compression test to prove it. I can not remember how many miles I put on it because I stopped driving the car. Only reliability mods and bolt ons. Vaccum lines were redone by Ito, full exhaust added, with pfc.

If you had a good core why would you be buying a motor from them in the first place? You just have to make sure everything else is there, it has to be traded in exactly like the other one comes. But if you blew a seal thats fine, mine was all fucked up when i traded it in.

yeah, as long as it has everything you are good to use what you have as a core. Even if its trashed, just having the pieces is fine. Only buy a full engine if you dont have one for core.

I dont konw why Im saying this because I might be selling my engine shortly lol.
