Does Acosta suck or is it just my luck?
I used to work for them in Hackensack when they were MVA motorsports then.
Senior and a few other guys do excellent work, the main problem they have ALWAYS had is a no sense of good business and not meeting deadlines... This has always been their downfall in my experience. I also heard through the rumor mill that they were constantly plagued with legal problems.
There are plenty of shops out there... if your not certain about them go somewhere else.

Yeah i went to them a couple of times.
Junior and senior are good guys. But i have heard stories about harold. Maybe he was the cause of the downfall for that business.
They were in wallington and i heard they scammed alot of people in jobs which made them expand to the bigger location in elmwood park. Then they did more scams and got caught and had to shut down shop. That spot in elmwood park was nice too. Too bad it turned out that way.

Hate to bring thread back from the dead but word is senior is making a comeback with a new crew.
It WONT be called acosta because of the reputation.
My question is can they still be trusted??
SR has been a good guy, along with JR, its just harold who ruined the business for them IMO.
There is no word on location yet but still in northern jersey. Reason why this is news and not really "speculations" is because i just talked to the kid who knows JR pretty well.

I was just asking the opinions from other people if they can still be trusted IF they decided to come back.
If i ever need major work on my car, ill either go to JPR or IRP.
I wouldnt.
We got a handful of very good people in jersey that will work on our cars. I would never go back to acosta, i dont care if they know how to build a 2000hp daily driven FD.

lol i know i was just saying.
They did however built the very first 3 rotor rx8 that was featured in a magazine but now i question on the build. Maybe they took credit for someone elses work.
I remember harold one time told me my CEL going on is normal when you're making more than stock HP.
LOL what a shame that business. Poor SR and JR.
