Car Show-Millersville PA

Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know about the car show at Millersville University again this year on Sunday, April 30th, 2006.

There is a rain location with a roof, so it will be Rain or Shine.

Roll in: 10-12
Show: 12-4:30
Awards: 4:45

There are 11 vehicle classes.

Backstreet Performance will be returning with their portable dyno: $40 for 3 pulls

The 'Safety Bug' DUI simulation vehicle will also be there. There will be a test track set up in one parking lot and you can take one lap in normal mode and one lap in 'drunk' mode( all of the car's controls are delayed). It will be free to participants of the show.

There will be a DJ there for the majority of the afternoon, and there will be one live band performing.

There will be food/drinks at the show, it is TBD whether or not they will be free.

Proceeds from the show will benefit the American Cancer Society

http://marauder.millersville.edu/~uab/showpreview.html for registration, directions, pictures, etc.

get a group together right off campus and roll in together, it'd be a cool sight and you could hang out.

If you have any questions, let me know.

-Bob

Sounds like me and wifey are gonna show up for it. I'm looking to hit the dyno since it's pretty cheap, and if the stock FD goes under 200 RWHP, I already told my wife I'm calling someone with a minivan to drive me home because it'd be better than my FD at that point!

Hey everyone,

update for you. Some good and some bad.

First, it turns out the sororities did schedule a car wash for the morning of the show. It'll be on the way to the school, and we'll have signs out pointing to the show starting at 741 and 999. You'll pass the car wash on the way.

Second, weather looks awesome for sunday.

Now the bad...there was somehow a major mixup with the safety bug. I called last week to confirm it just to double check and I was told it was good to go. I got a call today asking what time they should be here on SATURDAY(the show is SUNDAY!). Theres no way it can be there during the show because they booked it somewhere else. Sorry if it dissapoints anyone, I wasn't exactly please when I found out myself.

At any rate, everything else looks great, and the dyno is already here waiting. Hope to see you there, directions are on our website.

The dyno was broke! Actually, my car just needs a little tweaking. 93 Rx7, bone stock and wasn't boosting quite right. I put down 189.9. Here's the thread.

there were some pretty sweet cars there today. I only saw two other 7s though, both Red FDs.

A few people today said they've dyno'd higher in the past than on this dyno. I wonder if its just differences in dynos(mustang vs dynojet) and reading software or something. Last time I dyno'd my car on that dyno i put down similar numbers to my other pulls.

but some people thought it was dynoing low today. not sure.

Hope you had a good time though. Other than running around like crazy making sure things stayed on track, i had a great time. Thanks for comin out.
