The Fastest time I got was the first one. Out of 3.
Unfortunately.. my clutch kept slipping. All the way thru
1st, 2nd, and 3rd..

Wierd feeling, holding the redline until the drive train catches up..

These were the #'s..

R/T: .126
60': 1.867
330: 5.307
1/8: 8.361
MPH: 83.68
1000: 10.854
1/4: 12.965
MPH: 109.41

Alot of room for improvement. I believe with a fresh clutch
I can easily attain 11's.

Nice to meet all you guys.
Ramy your FD is sweet.. Just need wider rims to fill it out..
Brian great times.. 12.6's on Twins.
Dave hurry up and fix your car..

Hey guys,
Woo Hoo!!!! I got in the 12's finally. Thanks to everyone that made the hang. I was glad I wasn't the only one there with the loud *** V 8's! Jon, thanks a lot for those video's, I'm gonna send that one of Paul's Elise to him now. Hope we can do this again when we get everyone's car up to speed. We'll have to have an RX 7 Waldorf Hooters hang soon!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! LOL. Jon, really, there's NO need to post my 30 sec 1/4 mile videos online lol. Needless to say, even though it's my first time at the track, I can't launch worth crap.

BigPimpin, I was wondering where you were man. Hopefully we'll catch you at the next one!

Sean, thanks for the compliment. Your FD is the hotness man. Really. As for my rims, I'm working on it They're not bad for now... 18 X 8.5 fronts, and 18 X 10 rears.

Brian, CONGRATS!! Wish I coulda been there to see it! As for me... God I need to learn how to launch...

jon

thanks for the videos, big thumbs up..

on that particular run. I had a 2/3 misshift.
if you listen carefully you can hear it.

notice my baby burn out. haha
I swear i can not warm up tires to save my life.
I either fish tail or creep forward no matter how hard
i smash the brake..

Notice during take off, it looks like im about to pop a wheelie.
My rear end is squating alot. Thats alot of wasted energy.
wonder if stiffening the rear spring, would help get faster
times...

Hopefully we can get another track day like today.
Wasn't packed and not to hot. Hope to have a new clutch
by then..

Nice car Sean. Looks like you beat that camaro in the video. If you get a good clutch, that should be instant 11's for you my man! Now get some slicks and you'll be in the 10's for sure. I'm gonna try and get some ET Streets now...oh and a chrome moly axle!
Ramy your car looks great dude. I think the only thing left you can do is drop a 20B in that bad boy and put us all to shame!!!
I wont' be makin the hang on the 11th if that's when it is. Gotta go do my duty and play in the AF band on the Nat'l Mall that day. But I look forward to the vids if you make it down there Jon.
Yo Dave, gimme a call when you wanna swap out those wheels...laterz.

Oh I officially do not care about reaction times anymore. They're the least of my worries. I'm struggling to actually get the car going from a dig, period. It's SO hard in the FD compared to any other car I've driven. I dunno why...but yea I'm gonna wait for the green, then go when I'm ready. Try and get a complete run in, vs. bogging, stalling, or wheel hopping all over the place.

Sean, I saw that run vs. the Camaro. Man you shoulda seen. We were in line, and like half the guys there stepped outta their cars to stand up and look at you two line up, and watch the race. Def. nice run man. I wanna see you run her w/ the new clutch tho!

Brian... 20B = lol.

Damn Brian, not bad man!! That is a really good time. Wish I could have made it, but had to work 11 hours today. Ugh!

Maybe someday I can join you guys at the track, and actually RUN with you.

Yeah I always bring camera's when I go, especially when myself or others I know are running...

Sean what clutch do you have now? After I redid my motor when Ryan and I went to the track the first time mine was slipping that bad. Was a spec stage 2 and it slipped all over the place. We put a ACT unsprung 6 puck in there now and she's grippy

From what I understand I have a stock fly wheel that was resurfaced with
Act Street/comp clutch..

Can't hold dick IMO..

I was gonna go with a Exedy Twinplate.. But its pricey with the fly wheel.

I gonna let Ray at PFS tear it down and tell me how the fly wheel looks..
If everything is OK, the cheaper way maybe, to just get a 6puck.. Like you got.
and while Ray is at it, im gonna have him put on some springs.
Fix my speedo, which im still debating.. Ive put on Zero miles since I got her back.
And maybe add another fuel pump and lines and push the boost to 20,
and get a solid tune from Ray...

GLad they take credit cards....

Yeah, I have the ACT prolite flywheel which everyone said would be a royal pain in the *** with a unsprung 6 puck but it's honestly not that bad. It's grippy as **** especially when hot but after a day or two of driving I was completely comfortable with it...

The Flywheel and my Spec clutch were from Gotham, I don't remember how much the spec was, the flywheel was around $350. The 6 puck ACT disck was through Ray, I think it was like $130 or something.

Just about every kit you buy new should come with the auto counterweight if it doesn't then I wouldn't buy from them ;p

If you're gonna drag I wouldn't really go with the light flywheel. I was gonna put my stock flywheel back on when Ryan and I dropped my tranny to put on the new disc a month or so ago but I didn't have it. Then we were gonna put an rx8 flywheel on it but forgot :\

When I saw you do your burn out and the car was lunging forward I kind of thought that might be your problem. Pull the fuse next time and she will sit still as a house.
