Best 93 RX-7 Turbo Rebuild Shop

Who does the best job on RX-7 rebuilds in the Washington, D.C. area?
I am in Winchester, Virginia so Hagerston, Md., Frederick, Md. Martinsburg, WV and Harrisonburg, Va. are near me too.

Yeah, I am in Richmond VA and looking for a shop also. If I find a good one in the DC area I'll let you know.

TurboCity.com is about the best place to risk a turbo rebuild. They do blueprinting and balancing with their rebuilds.

Samova,

You may want to look in the North East section of the forum. They have a sticky with shops in the area. Off of the top of my head Rotary Performance (Manassas) http://www.rp-performance.com/
and Ray at PFS (Frederick, MD)come to mind http://www.pfsupercars.com/

Good luck.

DC area has some well-known rotary specialists, including PF Supercars (http://www.pfsupercars.com) in MD and RP Performance (formerly Rotary Performance http://www.rp-performance.com) in Manassas. My motor was replaced by PFS 6k ago, no problems!

Most of those places (not BNR) don't do their own rebuilds, they usually send them out for someone else to do them.

One thing you'll find out on this car; most things are not going to be "close" to you. You'll end up sending parts all over the country. Just call Turbo City and then send your turbos to them.

BTW, I don't think Bryan does stock rebuilds anymore does he?

FYI, I've NEVER seen stock twins in 11years (assuming you mean stock twins, otherwise dis-regard) rebuilt correctly without bellowing smoke afterwards. You should just save for a new set, otherwise your wasting your money.

I had mine done at TurboCity two years ago. They looked new when I got them back. Plus, I made some nice dyno numbers w/ them. 327wrhp at 13psi

Just my experience....I've had Kevin at Majestic rebuild over 10 sets for me and never had a problem. Some sets have over 50k and are running 14 pounds to 18lbs boost .
