AutoX at new england dragway on fathersday

no thats not a typo, during the subaru appreciation day on fathersday, exeter subaru is holding an autox at the facility

during the last years subaru day, they allowd other cars on the property to do runs druing the 'subaru day'. so maby they will allow other cars to run in the autox

i just found out about this less than an hour ago, and will find out the details tommrow

That is new pavement they just put down at NED. I have an enquiry into how think the asphalt is... because at Rev It Up in '03 at Gillette over their brand new asphalt lot, they tore it up pretty well because it wasn't thick enough, and not made to withstand car after car in the same corner putting maximum traction down over the same spot run after run so soon after it was laid down. (need to be cured a bit more)

Yes... there have been other cars that have gone (Jacks FFR Cobra), but they're all members of the various Subaru clubs out there.

I could be wrong, but I beleive that this is a Subaru specific event. That's why they call it 'Customer Appreciation Day'.

And it's the same day as an NER auto-x, so I know it's not being put on by NER.

If it's not being put on/assissted by any sanctioned club with experience in Auto-x, I would seriously reconsider attending for safetys sake. According to the posts in NASIOC, it's not being put on by any sanctioning body.

Im assuming it would be on the new pavment which was just completed today actualy (stupid rain!!) From looking at the edges it looks like its as much as 4" thick, and from what i understand it is 'grade aspalt' (? im not an aspalt guy) and not hottop and is much more durable than the norm aspalt? i also was told that they used a 'binder' ? again im just repeating i know zero of aspalt other than it's very hot when they put it down,k ive lost 2 shoes to date to it

last year on the 'subaru appreciation day' there were points car's and personal car's doing a normal weekend test and tune. if exeter subaru rents the whole facility i can see them not allowing non-subie stuff in, however thats alot of $

i dont know if it is or is not an ner event

im stil not even 100% sure if its happening, as of this afternoon, the track manager had no idea this was even going on

ill be at Ft. Devens on June 18th, but ill be at Import Wars with the 17th drag racing on june 17th. anyone else going? eastcoastbumps, it seems its the most unlikely candidates that take you down. you dont even have to intimidate and they smoke you off the line.

i just realized you are racing a honda sportsbike. oops. yea good luck with racing bikes. maybe superman with the new LS1 motor might be able to get him but not us with the weak useless 13b's that are swapped out for the superior vette motor. just kidding. but i cant wait to see your car. is it almost done? the anticipation is killing me.
