Is two better than one? 12a

This question has bothered me for the last couple days.
I didn't know whether to attach this to my other thread or make this one.

In my other thread there was the dual carburetor intake manifold for the 4 port 13b, so why isn't there one for the 12a?

I know the 12a is only like a 1.1 liter engine, so two carburetors might be over kill? or is it something that just isn't produced?
I saw a thread started way back in 2003 where a forum member was looking for a dual carb manifold for the 12a but it looked like it didn't go anywhere.

This is something that has been on my mind the last couple days, a simple answer like "this isn't worth looking into" will work fine for me.

Thanks.

Yes a dual carb intake for the 13b is still produce, but I'm just wondering why a twin carb intake isn't made for the 12a.
Rotary Engineering had a dual intake for it but that's all.

The manifolds exist.

The carburetor is called the Weber 48IDA and the Weber 51IDA. You can also buy EFI throttle bodies in this style in various sizes. There are many rotary manifolds available in Weber IDA pattern

12A
early 13B
TII s4-s5 13BT
13b 6 port (gsl-se and S4/S5 NA)

I'm not sure but there are probably cosmo and FD3S IDA manifolds available also.

No a 12A is not too small for a bigger carby. With the right mods you can take your 115HP @ flywheel 12A (95rwhp) to 144rwhp with a loose intake and loose exhaust

I have one of those mikuni PHH style carbs (44mm) and 1 is just too small for my 13b but its good enough to still have fun. I would def make more power with 2 or a weber 50-ish.

Very simple to tune and parts aren't as hard to find as you would think. Except the guy at wolfcreekracing.com (mostly Z/datsun stuff, very popular carb mfg for them) is a pain in the ***.

You would think that someone taking your money would be nicer to you.

Yeah that's the elusive Rotary Engineering dual Weber intake.
Makes me jealous whenever I see one of those.

I have an extra set of the rotary engineering carbs. They do need de attention and love. They're missing the air filters and trumpets and one choke (I barely use my chokes though). I'm not sure what motor setup it came from, Street Port maybe. The air bleeds are smaller than mine.

I would like to sell them. Just stored under my bed..
I'm also in Canada.
