I'd rather have a header that just bolts on. Modifying my engine so a header will fit isn't really in the plans. I'll be looking for something to replace my RB SP exhaust and I'm not sure if I can justify the $1000 CDN it will cost me for the Rotary Shack header.

If we can get it I would like an update on the header. I race a first gen and have 12A and 13B motors that I can run. In theory we can run the big motor on big tracks and take the weight penalty and switch back to the small motor on the tight tracks. While I have two different headers my friend has one header. Both primary pipes are on the same plane and use a slip fit connector. It was designed to allow enough movement to fit either motor. I would expect a little blow by but it is actually pretty tight and I can't feel a leak, especially since there is no back pressure. I don't know if that could be incorporated here.

I know what you mean about having it just bolt on and I agree to an extent. However, just to be clear, I think he meant ovaling and porting the header itself (bolt holes and flange inlets), not your engine.

So after beating on this poor car with no maintance, the brakes were finally on the last leg! One caliper was frozen, rotors completely shot and it was dangerous to drive with even 50rwhp let alone 230rwhp. So I decided to put some money into the little guy! All new rotors, pads, wheel bearings, calipers, and even Progress lowering springs with some tokico HP shocks! Its a fun safe car again! Horray!

Put poly bushings in every link in the suspension, it will do wonders for the ride and response after those upgrades.
Looks like I won't be needing a 12A header. I blew my motor in August and have decided to build a 4-port 13B. Just got an RX-4 13B manifold, and will be considering a full exhaust overhaul later this year or next to really make her move. Can't wait to see the finished product.
