Intake Manifold's Semi PP and a few question's
1) Got my self a 13b 6port from a S4, Wanting to no if a S5 N/A UIM would flow enough with a custom LIM and a semi pp ??
Anyone got any thought's on this ..... yes, no, maybe, or go IDA or holley with custom manifold
2) Are the c.a.s in 13bt and 13b n/a the same ??
3) How do you tell the diference between n/a and turbo rotor's, The depth of the rotor bath ?? anything else ?
Cheers.

Sweet cheers for 2 and 3, For 1, Yeah your probably right diabolical1, The s5 intake is a 3 piece and was hoping if i could just use the top part for the throttle body and make the rest up it would be ok to flow what it would require.
well, considering my semi-peripheral project has been shelfed now for over a year, this is purely conjecture on my part, but here goes. while i don't think any part of the stock manifold is ideal for a semi-peripheral, i would tend to think the throttle body and plenum (or dynamic chamber or whatever) would be your main restrictions - particularly upstairs. i think you'll have a hard time feeding all 8 ports without either more plenum volume, more throttle area or both.

Cheers diabolical1, Done some more reading, And look's like stock manifold's are pretty much no good for anything bigger than a SP, But would be interested in seeing pic's of GtoRx7's modified intake's for semi PP's .......

But only avalible for FD and Cosmo block's.

pro-jay has 6 port manifolds as well as the other engine setups... http://www.pro-jay.com/SEMI-PERIPHER...NIFOLD_c15.htm
it's possible some of the characters you're seeing are kanji. based on the S4 rotors i have right here, my guesses are the A's and the 7. however, the photos should help prove or disprove that.
Here are some pic's, Just measured up the front counterweight and from what i found on aus rotary it's a s4 weight, So the rotor's prob are too .....

Just need to find out now if they are n/a or not ??

yep deffinitly s4,you can tell as the s5 onwards rotors had machining marks though the tub on the face of the rotor, duno wether there n/a or turbo, you would need to measure them, the look like turbo ,but its always hard to tell in photos!
Found info on the combustion pocket depth :
s4 t2...1/2" 8.5 comp.
s4 NA 3/8" 9.4 comp.
s5 NA 11/32" 9.7 comp.
s5 t2 ??(less than 1/2" but more than 3/8") 9.0 comp
Look's like my 6port block has got 13bt rotor's, Oh well semi pp project on hold for now ....

No that would really suck if ya did that ha, My mate has never done semi p-port's before but has done plenty of standard porting, He's got the correct gear to do it and plenty of old housing's to practice on first, but yeah see how it goes, What intake and exhaust set up were you gona run ??
i'm not sure if you have seen this, but i think it is a pretty useful thread to help with reliability of the ports themselves.

Thank you, Will have a read of that, Any info on porting of pp's and semi pp's is always good, And also if there's any link's or pic's for custom manifold's etc would be helpful too, Cheers. Exhaust will probably be 1.7/8'' twin pipe's to rear collecting into 2.5'' over diff and out, Just gota sort out my new block or just use the TII block that's already running in car now and get some high comp rotor's, mmmm not sure yet.
yep ive read that to,its just getting access to the right machining is gunna be the trick!im currently running 1 7/8 primarys to the rear and merging at the rear mufler and running a 48ida(the current engine is a 13b bridgeport) but i need to re-work the exaust slightly and ive got a microtech to run injection later on,if i do end up building the semi pp id like to run it on the ida to start (real easy to setup and run)im interested in what can be achived with a semi pp!!
