that looks nice and tidy!!duno about hp figures as i havnt run it on a dyno(just setup the carb with a air/fuel gauge and locked dizzy at 20 btdc)but given the straight line speed i guess about 180/200 rwhp, ive done a low 14 sec down the strip but i run 18 inch slick tyres and a turbo gearbox so the gear ratios are wide and beening a s4 rx7 its a bit heavier than id like!!

The engine is a S4 13bt block, With S4 n/a flywheel, Balanced, Secondary bridge, S4 low comp rotor's, 2'' headers into single pipe, 3 piece seal's.
It was turbo'd with a S5 turbo first then got a MP T64 turbo, Computer stopd working on secondary injector's and needed a few other thing's too finish her off but then just got sick of it and put a filter and headers back on, And just run 2 primarys injector's, seem's to be sweet out to 8g, Now keen on doing a decent n/a block :-)

14sec is all good with that size tyre's and gearbox, Yeah i reckon this setup i got now would be lucky to be 140 atw haha, How long untill you build a new block ??

Yep i think high comp rotor's with this block and semi pp should be the one, If you do go the semi pp route post up pic's of your progress, I wont be doing mine for a while now, Also what diff are you running ? I mite look at doing a b1600 diff conversion with a s4 n/a gearbox, A few car's around like that, Id say pretty thirsty on the road but would suit a high reving n/a engine on the track or strip for a cheap set up.

The greens have built a few good n/a car's ...

yep ill deffinitly post pics up if i go semi pp,ive talked to greenbrothers, they know there stuff, they told me how to do the b1600/b2000 diff head conversion to my s4,a bit of messing about with building new mounts and modifying driveshafts but it was worth it,the new diff ratio is 4.99(the 1/4 mile time i set was with the old 4.1 diff)changing the diff ratio improved my lapp times by just over a second!i realy need a closer ratio gearbox with a n/a motor but thats big$$

yer my parter wrks in retail and can get 1 of those cheap so hopefully have 1 for the race meeting!!(not till march)yer i bought the s4 as a rolling shell about five years ago and built an extend port turbo motor for it,it went real good but i decided i wanted to go racing, and after a couple of meetings i knew i had more power than skill so i sold off the turbo motor and built a bridgeport and chucked an ida on it,after alot of pratice, some suspension/diff/trye changes im over 11seconds a lap faster than my best turbo powered lapp!!but now im after some more power, and i like keeping n/a as it keeps cost down and relibilty up so thats were the semi pp comes in!!

Two more question's :

1) How good would a manifold similar in design to this http://sdsefi.com/techinta.htm work on a 13b motor but using a stock throttle body instead of a single ?

2) Has anyone got any good info or dyno reading's of a 6port motor that has had the secondary port's made into one big one ? think mabye called a mega or simese port .... ?

Cheers's Gorden, I want the manifold to suit a engine that will spend most of it's time between 6 - 10k rpm max, So maybe a 5'' plenum, short runner's 9'' long ? and tapper them too, Just trial and error i spose, I have seen your manifold progrees and it's looking good ...

That will be going on my 13b low comp, HBP, for now untill i get my new block sorted, Havn't decided if i should run a semi pp with this block and high comp rotor's or to go with a 6port plate's with one big port and eaither run the semi pp with that or just as a big 4 port ........

well, i don't really have much in the way of feedback since i haven't built a manifold before, but i can offer encouragement. also, how do you plan to do the semis? do you plan run them off the plenum or to their own throttle mechanism?

The semi's on hold for now as im still trying to sort out the new block i brought, So im down $1300 and stuck with another turbo engine with all the internal's only good as door stop's haha, ahhh that's the way it goe's somtime's, But im gona run the engine i still got in the 7 at the mo (spec's above) with that new manifold and see how she goe's, Have bolted it up to the block and it fit's nice but not really enough room for a std throttle body, Looking at going single at the mo ....

Wow your gonna get some really nice top end out of that intake. Too bad you didn't have a Cosmo Lim to start with since they have larger diameter primary runners. Also running your semi PP to the bottom of your plenum will be very easy in the future. The side ports and pp sharing the same plenum would make turbo charging very easy also.

Edit: You did radius off the inner runners before you closed the plenum did you?

Yep about 170 Gordon, Yea this is my problem :

Not enough room for standard throttle body unless i flip it upside down and cut an change the thermostat housing ..... The aftermarket 80mm single's ive been looking at seem to all use the nissan tps, Does anyone no if microtech's will run any brand of tps ??

looking good mate,as long as the nissin tps is a varible reisistor type(im pretty sure it is)then you wont have any issuse using it with the microtech, you will just have to reset the microtechs tps zones so it reads 0-100% throttle correctly,if youve got a laptop and the microtech software or a hand controler its real easy to do!!
