I find it amazing that none of the 4 cylinders are making that kind of power and their motors are bored out to the max.

And that's why the rotary is that much better.

And that's why the 4 bangers are allowed to have a much lighter chassis than a rotary in the drag racing classes because they bitched and moaned that the rotary has an unfair advantage in displacement and power and etc., and that's the only reason and way they can compete against the rotary. If it was even steven than the rotary would be first place all day long.

The 4cyl's are at 370whp plus!
I've seen one particular dyno that was above that from one of the top All Motor cars.

Hey Cris, what was Padilla's final weight? With the roll cage and complete interior that has to be pretty close no? Bone stock first gen is 2400lbs+ roll cage, driver, minus stock seats and a couple of misc= around 2300+ in my calculation. Am I missing something?

Your weight calculation is wrong.
Check out what the weight rules were at the time of the record.

Yeah, but everyone says he was 300lbs over the other competitors and that he was all stock with race seats so that to me would be 2300+. Anyhoo, I know how
much power he is making.

Exactly.
Check and see what the FWD's were weighing at the same time and you will figure it out.

Last year one of those FWD **** had an interview on camera and he talked about 400hp dyno slips... They're obviously making the power and after all these years, they've finally gotten the science of putting the power down and making a clean run... These guys have no excuses or handicaps and the way the **** and moan about the RWD cars are very unfair.. I say we take it back to run what you brung

True that, but you know those little cry baby Honda owners will not let it happen.

20B all motor

Ok, I've been reading through some of these comments regarding the 20B HP gains. A 20B with a mild streetport and a good tune will make 325-350 to the wheels, if not more. There are a lot of variables that go into make really good HP from a 20B but it's been repeated done by many. Just my 2 cents !

you do know that you can build a bridge port 12a with twin side draft 55 DIA and run 2000 cc injectors and produce 248hp pre tuned. I know I've seen it so why would it be hard to reach the 400 mark like he is wanting. its still a lot more money and hard to achieve but it can be done and you will be rebuilding it all the dang time LoL
