We can always bring out BDC from Texas if we can't get Steve Kan......It would be nice to try someone else as my car has already been tuned from BDC....just wanted to get a second opinion to see if I can get someone to get it to start right since BDC couldn't figure out the cold start map for my car.

The problem was (is) your water temp sensor, Mike. There's nothing to figure out on it.

I remember you saying if I replaced it, everything should be good. When I put the new water temp sensor, it did not fix the problem, and the car seemed extremely lean, so I just unplugged it. Maybe now that I have a new sensor in there, I will just have to have it retuned.

When you put it in, did the water temp on the PowerFC show something other than 175?

How was it extremely lean?

Did that (overall) gradually richen up as the motor physically warmed up?

Are you sure you guys replaced the correct sensor? I remember on your car the water temp output was reading 175*C the entire time we drove it around, even way back in May '05 when I was out there the first time. The water temp correction will not have any effect if the sensor is jacked. Otherwise, I just checked your map MikeB_Street2.dat and the water temp correction settings under Settings 2 tab are set per factory and unchanged.

Yes, I replace the green one behind the water neck. I think it just has to be retuned now that I have it. We will just start over with the new motor and get it tuned right with no vacume leaks, upgraded fuel, and new sensor.

I have a PFS purple I may be needing tuned this summer. I need to get the ECU seeing proper boost though 10psi gauge pressure is only about 6psi on the PFS. Not sure if I'll keep this since I want to run 10-12psi anyway the stock computer should be fine, until I can do some more upgrades, intercooler, midepipe and all that junk.

Everyone who responded they were wanting a tune....please check out the thread I started at the top of Mountain section. We will have a tuner coming out May 1st - May 6th and I need to buy plane ticket ASAP! Please send $50 via paypal to MichaelB145@aol.com to cover the plane ticket. $350 will be due at time of tuning. If we don't get at least 5 people to sign up for the tune....I will refund the $50 for the plane and we will not do it.

If you said you were interested and you cannot do it now, please call me or PM to let me know!
