Question Porting question

So now that I have committed to rebuilding a turbo II motor I am thinking of modifying it a bit. Stage 1 for me would be to get the proper apex seals and port the engine. im thinking of springing for the 3mm seals but I have no idea what porting I should chose, and ware to send the motor to have it done, or if its relatively easy, I may try it myself. My goal is to get the most power while keeping the engine sane enough and reliable enough to be my DD so j-porting and such are out of the question. But I was wondering if bridge porting is to extreme. Let me know what you think.

I'm thinking cryo frozen 2 mm would be the way to go unless your looking for over 400hp. Most of us went through Atkins Rotary for ours.

I would probably do the 2mm seals.....I have heard they seal better and can handle up to 500 hp.....but I would ask others on the board who have 2mm cryo frozen.

Basically its not a major decision.

Advantages-3MM seals will (not always) withstand a ping or two. 2mm seals almost always do NOT.

Disadvantages-You have to remachine housings to fit the 3mm seals, therefore in the future, you have to stick w/ 3mm seals or get new housings if you wanna go back to 2mm.

There are alot of other things two, but thsoe were the biggest factors in my decision.

Send the housings to me. It'll be well worth the money and the best port job you'll ever get.
