Ongoing New Mexico thread
Well the FD is down right now bad injector and I think I'm going to put a Power FC with some block off plates and my test pipe. I plan on showing for the event on the 26th. What time does it start? I'll be out there in my ae86.
Sorry CrazyDevil.. I didn't get a notice that you replied to the thread. Registration opens at 8am for all SCCA autocrosses.
It was a fun day, a little cold and windy but still didn't stop us from getting in a bunch of runs!

Those are 15x7 Drag DR-34's. Got a full set of them and some 205/50-15 Kumho XS' mounted, balanced, and shipped from Discount Tire for just under $800..
They were very slightly rubbing in the front so I made some 5mm spacers and they fit awesome now.

Man I was going to go but the wife wasn't feeling well so I stayed home and took care of her. I'll be out for the next cars and coffee event out there. One other thing I wanted to ask is who has the 1st gen RX with the Big *** wing on it? Right now I'm upgrading my Fuel system on my FD and installing a Power FC. Should be out and about next month some time. After that I will be looking for someone to paint my car. Anyone have a good place to go to. I don't need a complete paint job just the body (clear is done).
Hey guys,
I have a set of stock twin turbos taking up room in my garage that I would love to get rid of. They aren't in the prettiest condition but they held a decent boost pattern when I had them on the car last. Figured I would see if anyone around these parts could make use of them. $50 bucks takes em'.

Well I think he might live is Los Lunas. I just moved out there and I saw him heading that way as I was coming into Albuquerque. Just wondering why he put that thing on his car.
Who was on campus today in a red FD? I walked in front of you at the las lomas and yale intersection and stared at you awkwardly through the windshield to try and figure it out lol. If I knew who you were I would have said hello, but I don't, so I didn't. My apologies for any uneasiness I may caused haha.
Sounds good btw.

There's so many people in this city with rotary cars that aren't on this forum. It'd be nice if they did so we can organize a good sized meet or event or somethin.
I saw a clean *** white rx2 on jefferson this morning. Nice freakin' car.

Anyone planning on going to the autocross on the 26th and 27th at UNM's G-Lot? The 26th is a school and the 27th is the first points event of the year. http://rgrscca.com/schedule.htm
I highly encourage you guys to come out and run, this is a fundraiser for the UNM FSAE team (I'm the systems engineer this year).
I won't be running the rx7, since I'll be driving the FSAE car.
If you have any questions about the weekend let me know.

xshift, does the STR stand for street touring roadster? its a dumb ?. sorry I think we have similiar mods on are cars, but i have never raced scca so Im just trying 2 figure out what class 2 race in. also what worker assignment would you suggest I pick?
Thanks,
Spencer
Thanks,
Spencer
They weren't dumb questions so don't worry about it. Good to see you're registered and that you'll be making it out for both the school and the first points event. Have a safe trip.
STR is indeed street touring roadster. It allows you to do some of the basic "street" mods to your car, and still be classed reasonably. Since the event on Saturday is just a school, it doesn't really matter what class you sign up for. You can talk to one of the instructors (or even me) and we can get you in the proper class on Sunday.
For your first few events I would suggest you sigh up to work course. While this involves chasing cones, it also allows you to watch the other drivers and figure out what lines you want to drive. Once you attend a handful of events you can start to think of switching to other work stations.
Hope to see you there!
-Steven.
I see that same car every morning on my way to work its always heading south towards montgomery right?
Now to my inquiry... I got the old 77 bmw back that i was going to swap a t2 13b into. So I want to re start on this project this summer and any help acquiring the motor, tranny, ECU... really anything ill need to swap the motor over would be of great help. Please let me know guys, as soon as it is done ill want to meet up with some guys to show you and I will be showing it to everyone one of RSW's drift days as my drift car.
