It's about time

That I got back onto the forum. Been far too long, been on a sort of hiatus after my seven not only shot fire but was in fact the ball itself. Irony right? Used to live in the Seattle area. Moved out to cut bank last year and haven't had a 7 in 2 years. Flames been snuffed but there is still some coals in the fire. Can't ever really get the 7 itch out I don't think. Wondering whos all in the area, haven't bs'd about 7's in way too long.

Ah, well my rear iron is cracked at the dowel area by the oil filter. I have some reinforced irons Im going to use as soon as I gather some money for the o ring kit. Kinda on the back burner at the moment. Going to have a child arriving within 10 weeks now. But it still runs strong and looking pretty good I think still.

Congrats on the child Matt!! (boy or girl?)

S4 rear iron? My Mom has the FC now. I raced her the other day in my FD and she beat me while granny shifting and about 3/4 throttle . Not sure why that motor has yet to give up yet cuz it's been through hell and back. *knock on wood*

Thank you guys on the congrats it's gonna be a girl. It's pretty exciting and a big change but not one bad thing about it. And of course I can always use more RX tools. I think it was a s4 rear iron. I have some spare s5 reinforced irons I'm going to use To get it going again.

Wondering if there is anyone in the Missoula/Spokane area that can tune a PFC? I'm looking at picking one up for my FD that's nearing road worthiness, and it's going to need a tune.

In the Washington area I would Contact:

https://www.atkinsrotary.com/index.php?pag=7

Don't let anyone in Missoula even try tuning it. I would say I can tune it and another individual here can tune it but neither of us have insurance to back us so I would just take it to Washington and have it done there. If you can get a base tune done and or when you do get your tune done let me know. I can forward your logs to a friend and he can go over them for the best tune for the PFC.

What is your setup going to be stock twins?

Matt you should pick up a FFE Trigger kit for that Haltech if you can and dump the stock CAS.

Here is the info:

Trigger Kits | Product Categories | Full Function Engineering

I would recommend the same for you idonaldson here is the info:

That's what I was afraid of. I know there's a dude over in Spokane that rebuilds FDs, I've seen him in a couple threads and talked with him on facebook, but I'd like someone that's got experience touching my car. I'm dropping more $$ into this car than I planned already, don't need to replace the engine a third time.

I'm going with non-sequential. Too many solenoids had busted nipples and it just looks so much cleaner with all the vacuum lines for those gone and the emissions stuff gone as well. Plan is to run non-sequential at 10-12psi for a bit and save my pennies for a gt35r and go for the single life.

As for the trigger kit, once I get all my other parts ordered, if I have money left over to get the PFC, I've looked at that, but the PFC doesn't seem to be in their ECU selections.

How much was your flywheel socket? I have a blown 13B I'm going to dismantle to part out, and need to get the flywheel off.

Flywheel socket was 110 bucks. It is impact quality with a reducer though.

Ouch $110 is a lot for a single socket. Mazdatrix sells them for like $40 for 3/4" drive, why was that one so expensive?

Quality tools cost money I also bought a set of Reducers. They are magnetic and work with all of my impact sockets.

hey guys, Ronan here for location but race in Helena with the SCCA a lot during the summer! Run a 83 with racing beat holley kit, pace setter exhaust free flow, ground control coil overs and camber kit, illumina struts and shocks, exedy race clutch, forza seats, and soon some large by huge r888 running on little old 225s right now! Any of you guys happen to have a set of large axle lsd side gears laying around? or want to trade a large axle lsd for a small axle lsd?
