hey does anyone have any extra waterpumps layin around? i think its either a bad seal/bearing in the pump (hopefully) orrr a blown coolant seal (death) basically its blowing coolant out the overflow and not suckin it back in. the coolant doesnt smell like exhaust, and its not smokin. runs tip top except coolant overflowin like a ****. so far ive bypassed the heater core and new thermostat( Israeli junk)and new rad cap(mexican junk) i took it to a rad shop in zoo town last week and they said everything tests fine (16psi) ..thermostat opens. rad cap does its thing. now im just lost and broken.. any ideas?

Actually... i think Glendive is only a couple hour drive. i might be wrong though. i have a friend that used to live there and he went up fairly often and i dont remember him complaining about the drive too often . where did you come here from? most of the 51 pages is just endless chat between us here in GF. but we plan thing occasionally. bbq drives (when we arent all engineless or broken hahha). from the looks on your mods to your fd though you should be runnin tip top. looks like simple and reliable +1 for you

Glendive is quite a little drive to Great Falls. Its 220 to billings from here and probably another that far from your end so id be lookin at between 5 and 6 hours i spose. I would sure consider makin a trip though for somethin fun over a weekend.

Luckily i havent had to do a thing to it so far. The people before me did what you see and it just so happened they did just exactly what i wanted! The gauges need a little changin, but as far as the new motor and exhaust i couldnt ask for any better

ya thats almost the exact same problem i had with mine for a while. i would check and see if your coolant sensor on the top of the radiator is working correctly. It turned out mine wasnt grounding correctly.

Well fellas you haven't heard from me in a while and I haven't posted here in a while either, but somehow I still get at least 2 PM's a day about turbo swapping scenarios and questions about this and that so I've been indeed active, just without rotary engine troubles.

So, I got a job at kalispell regional hospital so I'm back in the kalispell scene, however unfortunately the whole sports-car group of guys has gone way down or maybe its just not that time of season i don't know. It seemed 4 years ago there were 2 rx7 owners in the area my self included and within the next year we could fill up a small parking lot with 7's. Hopefully its still the case. I however just bought another RX7 to replace the one I sold to pay off a few things. Still have the 1st gen and the 10th AE of course

This RX is an 88' TII that is far from stock under the hood. It used to run 12 second quarters with slips to prove it and my friend bought it from the previous owner with the 12 second engine in it and another built engine that was going to go in it. That project went south over the winter and I offered my friend money the other day and he gave me a title. He put the other engine in it which is a full bridgeport rew engine with 3mm apex seals, all the usual upgraded bits and pieces in it and he tells me the PO installed a rx8 E-shaft in it as well. The engine has maybe 5K miles on it and great compression and has only seen 8psi. However he stopped running the engine because for some reason it began to smoke more than usual, we're guessing the PO re-used the oil control rings instead of buying new. Engine still starts but does smoke and will need to be cracked open again unless I find something stupid like a bad oil seal in the turbo. But the other engine is still on a crate and could also be put back in, but this engine does have more potential. Surrounding the engine is 3rd gen intakes, S4 electronics plugged into a good old Rtek 2.1 setup which I have come to love, turbo is made by knightsports in japan, stage 3 mazdaspeed clutch (yes mazdaspeed, 3 puck triangle ceramic springless clutch pack) and its bolted to a light weight flywheel, typical front mount intercooler but I'm thinking of doing a v mount, MSD ignition on the leading and trailing coils, and then a real Apexi full exhaust (I don't think they've made this system in years). The interior is rather stock as well as the entire car. But for the price and what it all has got in it, I couldn't resist. It won't ever be a daily driver but more like a once every couple weeks in the summer and maybe a couple times a month the rest of the year, car.

So thats my latest, the other 2 7's get started every week and not much else, especially the 10th AE. Are we going to start planning a drive or meet this year yet guys?

Oh, I also have a spare water pump and housing for NA and turbo S4 and 5. And about 3 complete engines and 2 engine's worth of parts. Got any requests?

Kyle...thanks again for all the help last night bro.

We got some GREAT logs that second run up by UPS, very linear data so up to 6 psi should be fine tuned after I do some correcting.

I ended up falling asleep with the laptop on my chest in bed last night and when the electric fan kicked on it scared to holy hell out of me and I about launched the POS off the bed........................maybe that fall would have fixed that mystery ignition data change problem lol
