Hi all

Anyone in Great Falls have a rotary compression tester I can run on my 1st gen? It gave up on me the last SCCA event and I haven't looked at it since. I would just need to borrow it for as long as it take me to test the rotors compression.

I dont have a rotary compresstion tester,I have just a regular compression tester and it will still work to see if the engine is good.

You can just look for 3 consistent pulses on the gauge. Say 100 : 100 : 100 on both rotors.

I also need to snag a couple things and start Tearing into my FB to get it ready for racing. Need to get my Mazda Comp membership this year. Anyone up for a meet up and car show this upcoming weekend?

hey whats up boys, haven't been on in a while, but i'm getting back into the game haha...
just got my 87 turbo II back, which i'll be using as a parts car to swap a 91 n/a automatic, to an s5 turbo II with s4 turbo II drivetrain... wish me luck haha... heres a few pics... the 91 only has 60k on the clock... just needs a new paint job... and the wing was the first thing i took off haha

I see someone bought the silver RHD FD.....he was at starbucks today, looks like a Malmstrom guys new toy. Any bids on how long it lasts til a apex seal pops?

Yea hopefully I have ha ha, and I'm not trying to mean but I think this guy will break it soon. Then there will be a very low milage jap rx7 just sitting there and not knowing what to do with it. But might be suprized and keep it stock and going strong longer than ours. Anyways I might get lucky with mine and might be able to use most of the rotor seals. The engine only had around 3-4k just prob need some coolant seals and I will prob replace oil controll rings and springs then make sure clearaces are still good with other seals. But I have to get the engine out here soon pretty much ready to come out just need to get it out and apart. Just need to get my engine puller and stand back and tear it down then check to see what needs to be replaced.

Oh well, reppin FC all the way!

 

Hey Matt workin on getting your engine stand back here. Maybe here in the next month or so I will go in with you on rebuild kits. Might get em a little cheaper.

Hay Guys,
Been gone for a while, I just got a chance to play with my car today and I still dont have a real gas tank. but that is coming. I am thinking that when the carb was rebuilt they screwed up, I acts like is is not getting enuf fuel. Is there any where to get a new carb or what aftermarket carb will work? Or does some one have one that thay would be willing to part with? for a price (not to high a price but a price)

I hope he really appreciates the rarity of that FD. I WANTED to buy it soooo bad but our second coming closed the door on that dream. Oh well it would have been another OCD case for me to tinker on and another reason for my wife and I to fight lol.

Your legs won't reach the ground. Car sits to high... We could always throw that N/A back in there till you get a Turbonative motor put together. Or to get the front end down so you can Yabba Dabba Doo your way around.


It is also really weird to see kyles old wing on that S4 at school all the time. Brings back some good memories.
