How often does Colorado Springs have meetings?
Hi everyone!
Been living in the Springs over a year now, and just about done settling in.
I've heard that a bunch of car enthusiasts get together at the old Grocery Warehouse parking lot near Powers Blvd and Constitution. Can someone tell me the details on that? That the cars line up in rows accroding to makes, classics, imports, etc.
Would like to meet RX owners in the area. I brought some posters with me from Sevenstock to hand out.
What works best around here, Saturdays or Sundays? Maybe a pizza or burger joint?

Hello Jeff
Yes the Old Grocery wherehouse parking lot is where all the car buffs hang out, on saturdays anytime after 4:00-4:30 if the weather is good.
I been a few time this summer and the Rotary showing is almost non exist, there are only 2 red FD's.
I was there saturday with my RX-4 , not a strong showing at all, I think because the windy condition.
I be there with my 4 again if I can figure out my electrical short!!

Andres,
thanks for the info. I'll try to make it there for this Sat 10/6. Supposed to be windy on Sat, but today was supposed to be too. Yet another red FD.
Anyone else out there? I see the hits, but no replies.
Maybe this will help....
Here's a pic of my FD @ Sevenstock 7 and 8.
I've changed the wheels since then.

Hello Jeff
Nice!!
I love FD's, one day I will own one but I have to wait until my son finish high
school and out of the house! LOL!
In the mean time I just play with the oldskools.
By the way, my RX-4 has an electrical short, i have the dash taking apart to find it, so no Grocery Werehouse for me today, at least not in my -4!

I worked my way up the ladder, so to speak.
First car was a 79 RX-7, I was 16.
2nd was a 86' FC
3rd was a 91' FC, after my 86 was side swiped.
And at one time I had the 91' and the 94'. That got expensive!
Then my bro got a 73' RX2 that I helped him restore, put a Haltech in it. (it was on ebay a few weeks ago, not sold)
So I got love for the ol' schools too. Been a rotorhead for 15+ yrs.
Hope to see you and others today. I hope I don't get stuck in Denver too late, would be the only reason I couldn't make it.

Have you guys been added to the Known Rotary Owners list that is stickied at top of Mountain section? If we get enough Springs people, it would be cool to get a mini meet going on up there!

Hello Michael,
Yes, am on the list with my old name, papovw.
I changed it to make it more rotary friendly! RotorRican.
Also you need to add my 76 RX-4.
Thanks,
Andres

Mike, no I haven't been added to the list.
A mini meeting would be great here in the Springs.
I'd have no problem taking the lead on it or helping out.
I've run meetings and cruises for the SoCal RX Club before moving here and still go back to help my boys with Sevenstock.
I have posters to hand out >> RX-8, Laguna Seca (all rotaries on track), and a rotary art collage.

Good performance shop
Hey guys, I new here but happy to see a lot of good Springs people with Rx7s.Quick question for you, does anybody here knows a good place that can install my microtech ems. I'm rebuilding a Rx7 that I just bought, my second one(Have all ready one in PR) with large street port and a few other mods that my friends in PR did there. I'm bringing the engine from there but I need some one that can install the computer. If some one knows please let me know , i want to have the car ready for the next season at the track. Thanks in advance for you help.......

Edgar....welcome to the site......I would contact Revolutions Tuning up there. If you require Rotary specific help, you will need to come to Denver to Precision Import Repair. Make sure why you are here.....find the sticky at top of Mountain section and add your name and car to the growing list of known Colorado Rotaries!
We are looking at having the largest Rotary Meet to date this Spring! Make sure you PM me with your name number and type of car so I can keep you updated on it!
