if this was in the summer time, i'd consider it, but only if it was in the quad cities.

Carguy. The deposite is 200 payable to Steve Kan, dyno time is 80 per hr. I don't know the brand of dyno but I will find out. I do know that is an awd dyno, and brand new, as in being put in Feb.1.

For everyone else, I am still going to try for the Quad cities at this time.
We need to settle on a date though, as Steve's weekends fill up fast. Sometime in April sounds good to me. I'll start a list, please add your name to the list if you are ready to send a deposite when we decide on a date. Also put your preferred date.

1 Ryan1 anytime in April
2 Chad anytime in April

This is Steve's current pricing.

In order to make it fair for everyone in the tuning session, below is the new tuning pricing structure.

$350 - Stock turbo up to 12psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$400 - aftermarket turbo up to 16psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$450 - aftermarket turbo from 16psi - 25psi of boost (race gas and/or auxiliary injection only) 1 map
$600 - aftermarket turbo up to 25psi of boost (pump gas and race gas tune) 2 maps

By doing so, it'll allow me to gauge my time allocation to the consumer instead of rushing on those that needed more attention in the map.

Here is the estimated time frame allocated for each type of tuning.

stock turbo - 45 mins - 1.5 hrs
aftermarket turbo (pump gas) 1hr - 2.5 hrs
aftermarket turbo (race gas and/or auxiliary injection) 2 - 4hrs
aftermarket turbo (2 maps) 3-6 hrs

Thanks for the info. So is the dyno cost in addition to Steve's rate? I'm just trying to make sure that I know what's going on before I commit. That dyno looks to be a very high quality unit. I was really hoping it was an eddy current, so that's cool. As far as time frame, I'm good for anytime in April, preferably as late as possible. I really need to get another motor built and put in the car now........

Yes, the dyno rate is in addition to Steves rates. You also have the option to have Steve street tune, and not have a dyno fee. However, you may end up with a legal fee with this option.

I think I'm going to pass on this tuning trip. I am going to be moving to Colorado in May and I was hoping to have it tuned before that, but I think I will wait until after we are out there. Plus with buying a house, I don't need to spend another $600 on my car. I would still like to head out there whatever day you decided on and check out some other peoples cars. I've heard nothing but good things about Steve. Hopefully you can still get something together.

200 deposite to Steve, towards Steve's total bill. Refer to post on previous page to find which situation you fall into. Then 80 per hour of dyno time. So unless your doing multiple maps, it should be between 400-500 total cost.

Well I do have a dilema. I believe my twins are out tha door and I have a lot of **** yet to get to get tuned. Count me out.

For those chicagoan's who want him to tune around us lets get a head count now. I got a guy who would be willing to get us a shop..so so far it would be me, and him.

We could plan later..like beginning of summer or mid summer or something.
