MI rotorites HELP!
So I recently put my S5 NA motor into my S4 and nearly everything went smoothly and the last week I have been hunting down a vacuum leak which now I may have gotten taken care of but not I cant get the car to start without the use starter fluid, and when I give it starter fluid it wont stay running and it runs like *** for the seconds it does run.
I need some help getting her going again because I have a week left till I leave for home at Chicago for the summer and no real easy way to get it back that 2xx mile journey. I dunno if the timing is off or if I already need new plugs (just bought some to get it running last week and it did run with the vacuum leak as long as I had my foot on the gas but it wouldnt idle, and there is no BAC) I pulled the plugs and everything looks good, I tried cleaning them with WD40 and even starter fluid but I'm running out of ideas.
anyone near the big rapids area or can come to the big rapids area (49307) and give me a hand? I've heard it run and run fine but its just being uncooperative right now and time is running out.
HELP ASAP!!!!

okay well I did the trick in the FSM that says to jumper the fuel pump connector (the one near the tps tester connector) and wait to hear it whir and it should only whir a few seconds and stop. If it doesn't stop whirring that means that the fuel pressure is off, I do not have a fuel pressure gauge or pressure tester so I kept reading and saw it say that if the pressure was too high or low (i forget which) to change out the fuel filter and if it is the opposite that the FPR is gone bad.
when I had it jumpered with key on engine off i was able to feel and hear the fuel running through the system fine, the coils are good and so are the plugs, the plug wires are waaaay too long but are fine as well.
I really don't want to tow this back, anyone?
