Newton, Ks.

Newton, Ks. here....I bought my 1st gen last November and truely love this car. It's an white 85 GSL-SE with 137k. I had found part of the window sticker in the glove box and the car sold new for 16,325.00.
Don't have a lot of history other than it came from Oklahoma and I'm the 2nd owner.

I also live in Pittsburg, but my 80RX up in KC. Its been sitting in a garage eith a wrecked front end for almost 22 years. It needs it all, paint, bod work etc.. Problem I know **** about working on cars especially rotory motors. I might be calling for some advise as I finally have building to put it in.

Saw a clean-looking silver FD in front of the Radisson in downtown Wichita yesterday. I was in my daily-driver car, so I didn't stop or anything. Just don't seem to see many FD's around here.. kinda cool.

I think I saw it at the car show yesterday. Seems to be a few of us around. There is supposed to be a car show on August 22nd down in Old Town. Maybe we need to get our cars together and kinda block off a section of RX-7's. Just an idea..

True.. but if we started to show up to these things in groups, not just all spread out, then more RX-7s would start meeting up together. We wouldn't even need a website. We could just tell people to come here. It's an idea.. I am from OKC and have spent a lot of time in Dallas. I know a ton of people from those areas, and us rotary people meet up all the time in OKC. I have heard that south Seneca can get kinda busy on the weekends. Maybe I need to go down there. I do see a few 7s roaming around town.. could be kinda cool to check it out. Plus... these things always need work it seems. I know I have a ton of projects for the winter. I am swapping axles, changeing the diff around, working on the electrical system, upgrading the Nitrous system, removing the water from my coolant system and replacing it with a zero-pressure oil-based system... etc. I know that I am not the only one working on these cars around here, and it's always good to be able to help each other out. Just an idea. I need to find out more about the car show on the 22nd of August..

hey wichita guys, I'd be more than interested in joining up at the car show on Aug 22nd. My 85 is not really car show material, but it's cleaner than my house. I live in Newton and only 20 minutes away (15 min in the 7) from Wichita.
