Whats up from Pittsburg/Frontenac. I just picked up an 88TII shell yesterday. I saw there were a few of us from Pitt/Frontenac on here but the only one I've ever seen was the third gen at Dillons and a beater gxl at Bootleggers. Any one still here? Time to order the engine

 

Ha ha yeah that uber loud blue FC with the primered door is mine, and as of last week it is now all one color woo hoo. Its so loud because its got a full RB exaust that stops as an open Y-Pipe.

I was just checking out this thread, still growing after 2 years, that's kind’ a cool. I live in Salina and own a 93 Montego Blue third gen. I flew out to NC almost three years ago and drove it back to Salina.

I had the guys at the RX7 Store in Columbus install a reman motor about this time last year. It is set up non sequential, mods are:

Street Ported motor
Rotary Aviation seals
Upgraded stock mount IC
Upgraded fuel pump
550cc and 1300cc injectors on stock rails
K&N intake
Upgraded BOV
Aluminum AST
Air pump and Cat removed
Profec B boost controller
Twin power ignition
Power-FC with Hand Held
Full exhaust with a Magna-Flow resonated mid and RB cat back
CoolingMist water injection
Pioneer double din headunit with on-screen navigation
15 inch diamond sub in the rear, powered by an alpine amp
Upgraded street\strip clutch
40 series tires on 18 inch chrome wheels

I dinoed at 315 rwhp @ 13.5 lbs of boost. I was a little disappointed with the dino numbers, but with the 91 octane gas around these parts I went with a conservative tune.

There is one other 3rd gen in Salina, or used to be. I think the motor went and the guy has it garaged. I have seen a couple of 1st and 2nd gens including a second gen with a v8 in it, but no other 3rd gens. Good to know there are some other Rotor heads out there.

 

Try to make it to the Lawrence meet April 29th. There's a sharp red 89 in Salina (boostedrotor89) planning on going and we're planning on meeting in Newton or McPherson to caravan to the meet.

I'm from salina, but it doesn't look like my light blue first gen will make it again this year. I've got one question for all you other Kansas Sevens. Should I keep it even though I don't have the time or money to fix it right now, or should I sell it with my parts car and project second gen? I LOVE sevens a ****-ton, but at this moment in my life I think I should get a car that requires less maintenence. Even though I wouldn't be in a seven, would you guys object to a seven lover comeing even though I plan to have an MX-6? At least I wouldn't be a complete total disgrace. I'd still be sporting a Mazda.

hey guys! just thought i would throw out the fact we have a meet on the 1st of april coming up. its kind of any and all cars, and i know the 7 is kind of in a class of its own compaired to a honda and stuff... so some may not show. but i wanted to say your all more then welcome. id love to see some 7s out... honest to god its my favorite car. i almost bought two of them lol... first one i wanted had a ton of problems then the second i almost got needed a new engine and it was a dealer car they wanted 16,900 for lol so i told them no... not unless that was with a new engine lol. they didnt swing that... sooooo i settled for a acura rsx type-s.

i do promise that we will have a good group with no drama or crap talk. food and drinks will be included and stuff too!!!!

oh and to rotor nut, i used to go to wsu, just workin full time now... what color and year 7 do you have???? maybe i have seen you.

Seth1884 I have a blue 79 that I drive to WSU. There was one other 7 that used to go here but I have not seen it since the fall semester of 05, or last semester. were you the one with the brown Fb with the tinted windows and some body work being done to the rear end?

There is a 3rd gen out here! where? I swear I'm like the only rotary car out here. this place is full of trucks, cameros, mustangs, and probes. If there is a 3rd gen owner out here I would love to meet him/her.

 

My wife goes to WSU and she had seen a white 1st gen there once.
That brown fb is a mystery...It passed me once on I-135 when I was in my Jeep. (if it's the same one)

 

lol well if you wanna see some 3rd gens go over to Nias or whatever its called now... used to be New Image Auto Salon that a guy named Franky ran. i wouldnt trust them worth a crap, but i went a week and a half or two weeks ago on a friday night and there was a black 3rd gen with some volk wheels, exhaust, aftermarket bov... not sure what else. then there was also a white 3rd gen there too... didnt get to look it over much.

the black one i have seen before a black guy oooh late 20s or so owns it. he is a pretty nice guy.

there is one that was a blue one running some where... i have meet the owner once at a backyard burger hang out (friday nights in the summer) he has some nice mods from what i heard. but i didnt look over his car... only other time i saw him was on k96 headed east when i was going west. lol i was like omg 7! ahhaha then that was about it.

I knew there wer a few FD's running around Wichita, I thought I saw a black one once on Douglas ( is there a Mc. Donalds on Douglas?). I just never seen one at WSU before or hardly any RX-7's here, besides the brown one and the blue 2nd gen one of the professors drive.

 

we need to get our website back, i miss hearing from you KC guys! and no meets, that sucks!
